An Idea for Sony & Spider-Man

How about adapting the Spider-Verse storyline into a future Spider-Man movie. The movie wouldn't have to have as many Spider-Men as the comic, it could just feature Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and whoever the new Spider-Man. They could even throw in Nicholas Hammond to play an older, retired Spider-Man as a throwback to the old live-action TV series.

And it wouldn't be the first time Spider-Man has teamed up with alternate versions of himself, he's done it in cartoons, comics, video games. And I think it could even make both Toby Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man movies relevant again.

The storyline shouldn't in anyway interfere with Sony sending Spider-Man to the Avengers. It'll just establish their other two attempts as part of alternate universes

I've seen that idea several times over, and it is always a terrible one.
They need to go back to basics, and keep it simple. That way, you can't go wrong. A Spidey-verse movie at this stage would cost more than Sony's previous money wasters, and probably only lead to a convoluted and terrible movie only the most hardcore of hardcore fans would appreciate in the slightest.
