Hey folks, I don't know if this idea has ever been mentioned previously but it's been something I've had in my head since IW and Endgame came out.
I had mentioned to friends that, after IW, they should have had at least one film to take place between then and the events of Endgame, to show the world affected by The Snap in greater detail. Now I LOVED the first 30mins or so of Endgame and how it asked some of the questions about the post-Snap world. However I always felt this was abandoned quite quickly to get to the plot and everything else that was going on.
So here's my pitch for a Captain America film, set between IW and Endgame - a superhero film without action, or at least push the action to the periphery. Have pockets of "B" villains pop up and show them being dispatched pretty easily, but have the meat and bones of the story be Captain America and the other remaining Avengers dealing with the fallout of The Snap.
Show them as being everyday heroes helping those suffering from losing people. I felt something like this could have looked at issues like PTSD, globalisation & environmentalism in the same way that Joker shone a light on mental illness.
They could still hypothetically do this and, remembering Evans saying he would be open to being Cap again under the right circumstances, I think something like this could be a way to do it as well as making a very unique Marvel film.
