Tyler, Liv from The Incredible Hulk.

Really? I consider her gorgeous. I know everyone has thier different tastes, just that I never heard anyone say she was ugly before.

Liv Tyler? Ugly?

She's f**king gorgeous. And I rarely use the word gorgeous.

Totally. I mean, wow - granted, she's not exactly my cup of tea, but she's far from ugly.

I will say that, given some uses of the word on here, I can only assume that some posters on here are currently dating supermodels.

I find liv tyler hot at times and not at others, she definitely goes both ways, lol

Hayley Atwell, i dunno yet, have to see moving pictures of her

I agree with nuffsaid Liv Tyler..... meh. She looks like a simpsons character with her overbite. That being said u always have to take these conversations in context. I dont think anybody really thinks these girls are ugly, but when compared to other actresses they are unimpressive. There is UGLY then there is Movie/Tv Ugly........ which is usually still sombody very attractive. By the way Attwell is smoking

I find most women can be beautiful or attractive unless they have an ugly personality. For example there is a girl at my work place that I consider a good friend. She is good looking, but perhaps not drop dead gorgeous. However, combined with her personality I think she is one of the most attractive girls I have ever met. So, I guess I am just saying there is more to a woman then just the superficial packaging.

P.S. Isn't this thread suppose to be about Chris?:yay:

Yeah, I wonder what Chris Evans thinks about Liv Tyler. :p

Anna Paquin + Kate Beckinsale = Haley Attwell

That's how I see it anyway. And they're both pretty hot women.
I see the Paquin in the eyes. Atwell's farrrrrr better looking than Anna Paquin though.

wtf? You need to get your eyes checked.

Now Dunst and Clayface err Maggie Gyllenhal(sp) were Fugly.

Casting stones are we?

How hideous... I must look away...

I think every one of the women mentioned recently on this thread (while diversely different in appearance) are beautiful each in their own way. The guys that think these girls are ugly, are the reason we have a society with girls growing up with eating disorders and low self esteem. No one is ever beautiful enough, and the thing that is funny is the people saying this are probably not any sort of Mr. Universe themselves.

Seriously, some people wouldn't know beauty if it hit them over the head.

Man the problem is that people care too much what people think. I know not every girl out there is going to find me attractive and I dont care. You can't please everyone. People need to learn to deal
And it's not bad to find someone unattractive. I havent heard anyone here say because they found someone ugly that they're less of a person or that they shouldnt be allowed to act. Do I find Whoopi Goldberg attractive? No. Doesnt stop her from being my favorite actress of all time

But uh...Chris Evans as Cap...I heard he took steroids to bulk up

You make some valid points, and one's value should not equate to their physical beauty. However, we live in a society where the women that are considered to be the most beautiful in the world are being airbrushed, because they are not perfect enough, and while I get your point about people needing to be stronger and not care as much what others think. I also realize, it is ingrained into girls and women at a very young and impressionable age that beauty is integral to being someone. So, they grow up buying into this idea for the rest of their lives, and it is hard to undo it's effects once you have been taught something. Especially, since everyone else is drinking the same coolaid.

In closing I just find words like ugly and unattractive to be a way of labeling someone, and what is unattractive or ugly to one person is perhaps gorgeous or beautiful to another. So really these words have no real factual merrit and they only serve as an attempt to categorize someone or as a way of reenforcing the idea to young girls and women across the world, that physical beauty is the only thing that matters.

P.S. I hope Chris didn't take steroids because that doesn't send a very good message to men either.

It's disturbing that so many people talk about a woman's looks more than her abilities as an actress. This is a movie not a porno.

:wow: WHAT?! You mean this ISN'T a porno?!
DAMN! Why have I been following these threads for so long then?
Time wasted that I could have been watching porn...:oldrazz:

And all this time I thought it was "Captain America:The Fist Avenger"!

A person's value is measured by their looks...to an extent. Look at the most successful and influential people in the world. Most of them arent hot chicks or hot dudes. And even in they are attractive most of them are successful for their abilities.

I dont see what's bad about labeling someone, man or woman, ugly or unattractive; especially unattractive.
As you said what's bad to one might be good to others. For one I find most bone skinny girls (like the new Transformers girl) and most really "overweight" girls (like the girl in Precious) unattractive. Does that make me a bad person? No. If I said the girl in Precious is unattractive to me so I'll never watcher her on screen then that would make me a bad person. Or if I bullied people that I found ugly I would be a bad person

But to see a girl that you dont find good looking and think "Not for me" is fine. Its human nature. Its how you act with the person you find less attractive

Again I dont see the big deal about people talking about the looks of the sex which theyre attracted too. Save for the guy who started the conversation, who Im pretty sure was a troll, no one has said anything that bad.

Besides in the end her talent will be held higher than her looks. The talentless hot girl in Hollywood most of the time doesnt make it as far as the good looking girl with talent.

And this convo is much better than the barefeet and chest hair conversation a bit back

...But, uh.....how about Chris Evans as Cap

Blackman, I never said you were a bad person, and was not trying to suggest that either. I was just saying that society as a whole decides what is beautiful and attractive and we are force fed images in magazines, television, movies and elsewhere of what beauty is suppose to be. Therefore, it is only natural that people find themselves following what they have been shown all of their lives to be a certain way. If someone tells you the sky is red and everyone you talk to for 20 years tells you the sky is red, you no longer question it you just accept it. Now in the case of a really skinny girl that might be anarexic or a really heavy girl like Precious. To me I wouldn't say they are ugly, but I would say they are living an unhealthy lifestyle that should be changed to avoid health issues. I truly feel every person has beauty as I believe we are all gods creations, I just think most of us have trouble seeing beyond what we have been taught.

Also, I agree with Silvermoth people should base the casting choices for actor's or actress's on their talents and not on their physical appearance.

As for Chris Evans playing Cap, I think he will do well, and at the risk of seeming like a hypocrite I think he looks the part.:yay:
