The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Andrew Garfield IS Spider-Man!

Modern =/= necessarily hipster. He's not flamboyant or trying to make cutting edge fashion statements. He's just wearing average clothes.

I see the kinds of stuff he wears at Wal-Mart and sometimes even Goodwill (you'd be surprised the leather jackets they have).

When I say hipster, I mean a kid who's style is hip to the current times, very modern. Not those freaky looking kids you posted earlier. That's what Andrew's Peter is with his style, modern. Just because something is from Wal-Mart or Goodwill doesn't mean it can't have a modern look.

Reagrdless of anything you're saying, that doesn't make that hairstyle any better. Notice how no one has came out and agreed with you on the hairstyle(yet, at least)? It's because it's horrendous, and others know it as well.

It even looks bad on the most recent animated version of Peter.

He must've just seen a reflection of himself.

Tobeys dumb hair from the first three movies was ridiculous...zero style. I understood it from the first movie, when he was a nerd, but those movies biggest problems were the character never progressed, he was always a sad sack and stayed that way and never became the "cool peter" that dated girls, etc. Garfields hair looked fine in the first movie and very much like alot of the comics. the new Hairstyle is fine too. Its Peter Parker. Oh and yes i agree with whoever says that Ultimate Spider-Man hair cut is the Ultimate Worst. But thats Bagley for you, guy had the sense of style of a blind person.

If all you're saying when you say hipster is dressing to modern trends, why the hell do you need to say hipster? Every teen dresses to modern trends except hipsters, (the ones you normally think of when one says the word).

I think it's pointless to say, "Peter looks like a hipster in The Amazing Spider-Man" when really, all you're saying is he dresses like a normal teen: he's current. Who cares anyways?

And I think it's pointless for you to get so pissed over a word. I'm not going to say normal teen, because teenagers these days have varying styles and they all consider them to be "normal" to them.

You should calm down and stop caring so much.

The proposed hairstyle looks feminine to me as well.

to me his hair looks like Peter Parker hair for the most part, its always a similar style is it not?

in the new movie just the sides look a bit shorter is all.

Yep, nothing's wrong with Garfield's hairstyle in either of the Spider-Man movies. Very Peter.

That pic seriously looks fine to me. You're being more than a little dramatic.

Of course it looks fine to you. You're the (only) one wanting the hairstyle.

If you think I'm being dramatic, that's fine. I'm a dramatic kinda guy. :yay:

Anyways, not gonna discuss the hair thing any longer. It's getting stale and I've had my say.

I could never get into those Ultimate Comics because it was supposed to be a MODERN take on Spidey and they gave it the most UNMODERN artist they could find when it came to drawing contemporary clothing and styles. So that hairstyle is such a reminder of that, thats why I have a problem with the USM hair.

Personally witnessed a handful of what would be considered social wallflowers/outcasts/loners in my high school when that series started that had very similar hairstyles.

It's pretty normal for Parker-types to have slightly long bangs.

Don't see how it's feminine either. But whatever, I'll leave everyone to their stereotypes.

I dont think its feminine, I just think its outdated and would look silly on film, Tobeys Peters hair was pretty bad in itself.

To the man complaining about hair, we can both stop complaining together.

I'm not complaining about the hair, I was making fun of that Ultimate style. I love Peter's hair in these new movies.

But yeah, you can stop complaining though.

Again, his hair right now is heavily reflective of Elvis. What exactly are the standards for 'outdated'?

To place a timeframe by which a hair's style can be judged is just silly.

Not to mention, there are teens and pop stars all over the world with this hairstyle as we speak. It's used in cartoons, as demonstrated in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon above, video games, etcetera. What more do you need?

This 'it's not modern' stuff is baseless.

I am new here so I am just going to say, One of the best parts of TASM for me was the fact we got a Peter who while socially awkward, still seemed like somebody who girls would like and was not sociallly "HANDICAPPED" Garfield is a Peter I can root for and feel he looks the part totally. I probably didnt word that well, but for me that put TASM above the others because I finally got a Peter that worked for me.

Peter's pretty much always been like that - barring Tobey's. lol

Afros are not modern. Some people still wear them. Does that change the fact that afros are still not modern? No, it does not. That's all I'll say.

New better suit yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first thing that has made my pickle tickle.

It made your lump jump? Made your dick flick? Made your pole roll? Made your cock rock?

Awesome.

No I am androgynous...I put an actual pickle down there.

But you're saying Garfield's style is hipster, yet his hairstyle was one popular in the 60's.

So I don't see why 'modern' is the basis of judgement. Hair is hair, time regardless.
