Ang Lee's 'Gemini Man' (Will Smith)

I thought it looked somewhat interesting. Not much pulled me in though... feels a bit bland.
I had heard about this movie and it's premise before. About the CGI version of Will Smith...

Thought that the CGI wasn't seamless or that impressive. Some of the shots look good but there where an equal amount that looked dodgy. Like those first images of young WS in a room, those close ups felt kind of weird and obvious CGI... the first bike crash was just bad CGI...

the trailer for the movie didnt look as good as its premise

Feels like there’s something missing to really grab my interest if I were just going on the footage shown outside of the concept of the film.

I think the most impressive thing about that trailer is that in 25 years, Will Smith hasn’t really aged. Just a tad more weathered.

The young Smith looked kind of off in that first shot, but looked great throughout the rest. He does look Bad Boys 1-era.

Seems like it's just a trailer to show off the deaging. But it looks promising.

I'm one of Ang Lee's biggest defenders-come-fan's but that look's absolutely atrocious, awful, simply terrible. No thanks.

Some shots looked better than others. In one shot, he really did look like how he looked in the movie Ali.

25 years older Will Smith basically just has shorter hair and a goatee. The man does not age.

Yes, which makes the effects seem less "WOW" to me since he still looks the same, just a little heavier.

I get it's not as jarring due to Smith not really aging all that much. When they had Harrison Ford on board it probably would've been seen as crazier since he hasn't really aged that well, let's be honest.

Really? For a 75 year old, Ford looks better than probably 99% of other 65+

Now Mickey Rourke, that would be a fun one.

Ford hasn't aged well? LMAO let's see you at 76 and then get back to us.

Yeah, this looks very much like a 90s action flick -- and not in a good way.

If you took Ford at his current age and Ford from like Star Wars era there is a noticeable difference.

For has aged well, but he's aged noticeably. Smith looks the same for all intents and purposes.

Comparing the ageing process and how well someone, anyone has aged in the comparative nature of ageing, when placing a man in his 50's with a man in his 70's is pure nonsense I'm afraid. The 20+ years between a man of Smith's younger self and his 'self' now, with Ford's aging in the same interim years (50's to 70's) is always going to be pointless, one ages more and increasingly 'downhill' in the time between one's 50's to 70's than anytime in one's lifetime, that 20 years, particularly if you've had a 'tougher' life, make for some damaging aging, rather than 30's to 50's where it's not as bad.

For example, I'm in better 'nick' in my mid 40's than I was in mid to late 20's, but once you hit 50, where your body is, at whatever state that is, is pretty much were your body will be going into your 60's and 70's. The body breaks down basically and is in 'free-fall' beyond 40.

Yeah, but the same will be for Smith when he’s 75 and we look back at Bad Boys.

As others have said , 30-50 isn’t as big of jump as 50-75.

this was an obvious CGI head(Will Smith did the face motion capture)) on a body double. as expected

i was more suprised and shocked with the obvious HDRI look of the digital camera and the higher frame rate.

saw some funny comments on youtube when I first saw the trailer

THIS IS STORY ALL ABOUT HOW MY LIFE GOT CLONED TURNED UPSIDE DOWN

"Iiiinn West Philadelphia born and raised, in a clone lab is where I spent most of my day's."

Kind of interesting how a different premise is basically setting up the same scenario as Rian Johnson's LOOPER.

I can believe this thing has been in development for a decade or whatever because it definitely feels like a blockbuster movie that would have come out in the early aughts or even late 90s.

Ang Lee isn’t exactly known to just make a generic 90s action movie. I’m sure he has more up his sleeve than what’s being shown in this teaser.

I think John Woo would have been cooler. He’s due for a comeback.
