So, here in the US we are trying to make live action films of Dragon Ball, Akira, Cowboy Bebop and other great anime. But something odd I noticed is that Asian studios are making live action films of some more classic anime series…but they don’t seem to be touching the “newer” anime. Why is that I wonder?

Where is the Asian film version of Dragon Ball? Cowboy Bebop? The many many others? Asian film budgets are growing…special effects are much easier and less expensive to do…they’ve now come to the point they CAN do live action and make them look good…but why are they not taking advantage of these properties?

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I was hoping that since they are owned by a foreign studo that it might mean they still have rights to make their own movie....bleh

i think not.

but there are some fantastic fantasy foreign movies. a lot of talented people have fantastic ideas that would translate fantastic on the big screen.

just look at Guillermo del Toro
