We've seen a lengthy delay, no real promotion and a trailer that looks visually average and emotionally challenged. PLUS Nic has seen his box office "clout" fall drastically in the last few years.

Does this movie have a chance in North American box office to top... 50 million?

Bennifer makes a movie in a red costume that pulled in 100 Mil. Anyone think it can even reach halfway up Bennifers pole?

My guess?? 50 tops. Any wagers?

1. It hasn't really been delayed at all. It was just a put at a date Sony thinks it will perform better and reports indicate the MSJ was given more time and money to film by Sony to film some more scenes. So delay is not the appropriate term here I would say Sony has given MSJ more time.

2. There has been no promotion because it simply hasn't gotten to the point of it. Ghost Rider is a character, and I think Sony knows this, that would benefit most from the October/Halloween promotion. So calm down there there WILL be big promotion just not at this time. The new trailer has already been attached to the Grudge 2 which comes out Oct. 13th and when I saw the first trailer in theatres it definitely had the best reaction.

3. Nic has been doing a lot of low budget films compared to Ghost Rider. But his last big budget film National Treasure did extremely well and even made a sequel in the works.

4. 50 million?? Yes easily. I think this movie will AT LEAST be in the 100-150 million range domestically.

2) Or maybe because teh studio relaizes what dog***** they have gotten into. Either way...nothing really in the way of promotion.

3) Nic has always choosen "quirky" flicks... and I dig Cage so these comments come from teh heart. Everything SINCE National Treasure (which was a HUGE suprise BTW) has underpreformed. NO matter which way you look at it.

2. The studio has been involved with this project for years I am pretty they would have pulled out long ago if they had any sign of dog ****tiness. I guess the rest of my reply did not interest you at all. Oh well.

3. Once again his LAST BIG BUDGET movie killed at the box office. This movie is in the same range. I see it catching the same success.

It's hard to say. I mean GR is pulling in the biker crowd as well as we comic geeks, and I'm sure if there are a goth crowd still around they'll see the movie.
GR is going to be hitting an odd type of crowd, you can never tell.

the movie will do well i think it will appeal to alot of people it'a got horror (he's a scarey mofo) it's got action (he's gonna be kicking some ass) the motorcycle looks awesome and i think the fx will look cool when there done I HAVE FAITH IN GHOST RIDER

What they need to do is promote the damn thing. As of now I am not excited about this movie anymore. Because the studio is not giving me something to look forard to. I understand its to early now but I want a reason to be excited about this movie & right now there is none. Hell if it was not for me visiting shh every day & Ghost Rider having its own forum I would be clueless about there being a Ghost Rider Movie coming out. The studio needs to get off of their lazy asses

WHat worries me more then anythng is the lack of Blackherat. I'm assuming he'll be the central baddie..but I guess he's looking crappy.

Either way the promotion machine will be pushed up in December... just curious how they'll do it.
