I'm just getting into The Ghostrider vibe and was wondering what's the best graphic novels/comics to pick up? I'm looking for ones with a spine, don't usually read the short monthly ones.

Best to pick up the Essential Ghost Rider vol. 1 and 2 for the 70s series. It's black and white, but it's also around 30 comics for $17. Ressurection is a trade collecting the first 7 issues of the 90s series. It's a good starter for that. Road to Damnation was the Ennis/Crane series. And Vicious Cycle is from the currect series with Way/Jarv/TEX.

Those would be your best bets to get used to the character. A good story to pick up is Wolverine, Ghost Rider & Punisher: Hearts of Darkness graphic from 1991. One of the best stories ever told, and a good intro into Blackheart.

Ghost Rider the Hammer Lane is an easy to find graphic novel. While I enjoyed the art, I thought the story was rather mediorce. Still just because I didn't like it, doesn't mean you won't.

I'd pick up The Road to Damnation first, since Vicious Cycle picks up right where Road left off.

Ghost Rider: Resurrected is a great one. It collects the first few issues of the 90's run, illustrated by the guys who are working on the current comic by the way.

I must get ahold of a graphic novel myself that collects some of the 70's comics because I never read any of them. They're the Johnny Blaze ones.

:yay:
