I work 40+ hours a week but due to increased household expenses and other factors, that income is no longer sufficient, however I am not in a situation to just go out and get a 2nd job. I really need to find a way to make an addt. $1000 or greater each month.

So what are the (legal) methods that some of you use to make between $500 or more monthly (without killing yourself in the process.) in order to make ends meet.

You could sell plasma monthly. Around here they give you $275 for the first month and $175 for each month after that. It goes for a good cause, too. You could also donate sperm if you got swimmers.

That not to bad. The plasma that is.

Have you done it before? How was the experience? The plasma that is.

I've never sold my plasma, so I don't know what it's like or what the process entails. I know there's a shortage of it, though, so I've considered doing it just because it would be helpful. I've had piercings and tattoo's in the past year, though, so I have to wait on that before they'll let me.

They EFF up your body in those studies, giving you experimental medications and treatments. Bad idea. Sorry.

No opportunities like that where I like now but when I resided in St. Louis, there were tons of opportunities every week.

They're doing research because they DON'T know what they're really doing. That's why they're doing research; to see how all these drugs and crap effect people's bodies and minds. No thanks. :down

Likewise.

buy tickets from ticket master for say $30 sell them on eBay for over $100 depending on which band you got the tickets for ;)

I've done two medical studies on anti-anxiety medications, and by the time they get to open call trials, the drugs are safe because otherwise the resultant lawsuits would bankrupt them. They do the "scary" testing on certified lab volunteers usually prisoners who get time off for it, and people like that. The worst side effect I got from the studies was that when I was weaned off the meds, I got dizzy for a few days. For the first study which lasted a year I got $1500 and for the second which was three months I got $725. Believe me I am as disappointed as can be that they didn't give me super powers.

I would sell my sperm for money (poor college student), but I don't want to be walking down the street in 20 years wondering if I have a son

Dew, I'd keep a close eye on your hormonal balances, liver, kidney and thyroid functions, motor functions and endocrine system. Those studies are not exactly known for their full disclosure and usually aren't quite as safe as they paint them to be.

those are tested at regular intervals during the study through blood draws, ekgs, eegs, weight monitoring, urine samples and motor function tests. All results are available upon request and if anything is discovered that is odd, I am notified immediately, like the fact that my cholestrol was a bit high, and my blood pressure is extremely low

deliver newspaper maybe ?

and i'm not sure if this one is still around ...

but it involves ppl with cars. who would get paid for having huge ass stickers, advertising some random company, placed on their car.

or how about those work at home programs that i always see on tv. you know, the one where these horrible actors claim how they're making 5 grand for part time work at home. and plan to make 15 grand the next month. :o

Yeah, but I'm talking about ongoing monitoring by your general practitioner or specialists. The long-term effects are what I would be most worried about, and no study I've ever heard of provides that ongoing long-term monitoring of the possible effects over the course of a lifetime.

the long term effects are monitored by a series of appointments for the next ten years. If it hasn't shown up by then, its not likely to show up

Then you got in on one of the better studies. I do hope that nothing out of place shows up for you down the road.
