Obviously, I'm at that age (the age being anywhere from 15-80) where drinking is considered pretty damn awesome, and looked at as being something you should do whenever humanly possible.

That aside, I've never been able to get into it. To me, seeing people drunk is like watching someone inseminate a cow; sure, it's a noble effort, but I could never see getting any enjoyment out of it.

It's not like I'm against drinking, or afraid of it, or have some phobia against it...I just don't particularly see the point of it, and thusly have never gotten into it.Anyone else feel the same way?

I don't see the point in getting drunk, but that won't stop me from having a few beers. I just know my limit

I drink but not to excess, I usually drink 2 to 3 beers sometimes more if I'm out with friends

I am 15 about to be 16 and I feel the same way I ask someone if they had a good weekend and they say some of the time "Yea me and some friends got drunk and IT ROCKED" or something like that and its not just from guys I hear it from girls too and I don't get it how can you have a great time falling over things, and yet the next morning sick or hangover I don't really know what happens and I just don't see why its so fun. I have tried a sip of some liquor my sister made me try it ,yes it was okay but I still don't see the point I am gonna wait till I am older to if I even do that is. I agree with CCon completely and his or her Regina Spektor avatar but I just don't see the point at least at this moment in time that is. I see why kids do it cause we wanna do stuff we are not old enough to do I am guilty of that but something that brings you such pain and dead brain cells bring you "fun" I am not against it at all I swear I just wonder why kids my age do and I don't care if someone does they just need to know their limits and know what not to do. Make sense? If not ask stuff I am up for answering whatever. And it is pointless for people to lower the drinking age because lower it will be the younger the people woild do it I hope I made my point, if anyone gets it that is.

I don't drink.

It's been awhile since I've drank. I'm due soon.

I'm not big into drinking at all. I got drunk for the first time pretty early, and would drink here and there till I was around 16. Since then I've only been drunk 2 or 3 times.

I have friends who drink. One of them does almost everyday, to the point where he has to get buzzed just to enjoy himself. I don't really hang out with him anymore because of it. I'd rather see a movie or do something constructive than sit around and get drunk.

The temptation is there for me though. I'm sure it always will be. But I have enough problems and I don't need alcoholic to go on top of em'.

I'm glad I have so many people with me on this.

We should get together for some drinks.

Eggyman's drunk and possibly British.

But is still an okay guy.

I say CCon you rock for having Regina Spektor as a Avatar

Drinking is awesome. Everyone should drink.

I drink to fit in. Works like a charm

It didn't tonight! I haven't drank regularly in a while, and tonight I get drunk and everyone decides to play it as 'cool suburbanite at the bar'.

Bastards. The one night I get drunk and they all decide to act sober.

And I'm sure my thread really hammered the point home too.

I don't like to drink either. The only alchool I like is Baily's and rum (rum, in rum raisin ice cream that is :o )...Drinking just isn't my thing, I rather drink juice (taste much better imo).
And Im also not shallow enough to drink (like some people in my high school would) just to fit in and look "bad ass"...yes, drinking in highschool is unfortunately one of the best ways to prove your awesomeness :whatever:

I was raised in a monastery.

I can't differentiate alcohols at all. All beer tastes the same (unless it's specialty/flavored) and same goes for red and white wines. Pinot, Merlot...same difference. None of it tastes especially good plus I'm a super lightweight so 3 beers and I'm good for a whole night anyway. But it's what people do at parties. So I drink. It doesn't hurt me and it allows me to get into the atmosphere of the party. I don't see the harm.

I didn't say it was harmful.
