So basically a pointy cone-like shape. About and inch or an inch and a half.

I knew a guy who was into make-up and special effects, and he used to customize monster and vampire teeth for people every Halloween....

Try searching on line for Halloween products and the like...maybe some local special effects people...

Yeah I tried. They all tell me to make it myself, which I would do, but its costs $60 for molds, and liquid plastic.

Lemme tell ya its gonna cost you alot less to make em yourself then to have someone make them for you. FOr a full set of custom teeth like that you could easily get into the $150-$200 range. It would cost you alot less for materials and a learning curve.

You could make your own teeth for less then $60 by making them either out of super Sculpey or Apoxie. Either way it would cost you around $30. Super Sculpey is a polymer clay that you cook to harder and can be sanded when hard, but is can be somewhat brittle, you can find at almost any hobby/art store. You can get is in many different colors to or just paint it. Apoxie is an epoxy that you mix together, you can work it like clay for several hours, in 24 hours it will set up and be solid, at that point you can sand it. With either method you will not need to make any molds or castings. I hope these help.

BTW, where did you find that picture of Venom that is in the first post? Is it a lifesized display statue? Any info you have would be great.

Yeah I thought of Sculpey, and it is really weak. I'd rather not. But I might try Apoxie. Sounds good. But I really wanted something like plastic or like that.

As for the picture. It was in the spoilers in the Venom thread. Which I'm sorry I didn't spoiler it, but there's enough trailers out to show what he looks like. I think it's a statue that was at a premiere maybe?

Well, that statue isn't mine. lol

But I agree. ANYWAYS... My dad knows a guy who does props for haunted houses, and he said he'll let me go to his warhouse and pick out from all sorts of teeth. I'll try my best, and I'll post pictures.

While sculpey is far from the best material to use, it would work much better than most pre made teeth. I created a pair of dentures for a rubber bust once when I didn't have to time to order dental acrylic or silicone to finish in time. They ended up looking great, I used white and translucent sculpey to get the desired translucency of the teeth. pink for the gums of course. After heating I did some washes with diluted acrylic inks to add more depth and browning of the teeth. To combat the brittleness of the clay I did a few brush on layers of transparent resin which can be bought at any craft shop, not only did it make it much stronger it also glossed everything very well, great for the wet look.

Well I picked out teeth at a friend of my dad's warhouse...

Here's what I got..

The small ones look like about the same size, or atleast the size I wanted. And I picked out two big ones incase I wanna do those as the front two teeth. I'll make them shorter height-wise if I do so, to blend in more.

try using polymorph or friendly plastic. you throw the granules in hot water, then just shape the soft plastic , as it cools it gets really hard and durable. comes white but is paintable. the way im going to do it for my animatronic venom (next project after the green goblin ive nearly finished(comic style) is to sculpt the teeth and make a silicone mould, then using urethane fastcast resin filled with aluminium powder the teeth will be cast. when they come out of the mould they look a dull grey colour but with a bit of polishing come up looking like metal, a look i think would work well. also going to make a set using clear dental acrylic too. the cost of materials isnt much really. and you will have loads left for future projects. try www.monstermakers.com or www.fxwarehouse.com ask for thea. they do really nice small amounts of acrylic and silicones very cheaply and have how to's on their websites and are just great folk to deal with. you could also get lots of tips and advice over at www.theeffectslab.com weve got loads of dental type folk over there who may be able to do the job for you at a reasonable price. good luck with your venom.
