I would like to find a collection of the earliest comic books about Venom, including his first appearance and when Peter first got the black suit.

I have been Google searching for it, but haven't turned anything up. Anyone know where I could find something like that?

Venom actually makes a cameo appearance at the end of Amazing Spiderman #299. His first full appearance is #300.

The black suits first appearance is Amazing Spiderman #252, and it's origin is Secret Wars #8. Web of Spiderman #1 contains the scene from the upcoming movie where Peter gets rid of the costume in the bell tower.

How come in an upcoming Spider-man comic Venom looks the same as he did when Eddie Brock sold the suit and slit his wrists? In 'Beyond', Venom looks really different.
