Screenname of the Proposed RPGs Game Master: Optikal

Gamemasters/Assistant Gamemasters already chosen: None as of yet.
How will the overall layout of the RPG be?: An Open-World free form RPG divided into seasons. A central backstory for various universes coming together but then completely player created. Two or three GMs at any given time.
However, in order to keep the universe something close to making sense, I'd propose that all characters would be applicible to a 'real world' setting. Timelines are flexible in order for a 20 year old character (Snake Plissken) to then interact with more modern characters (Jack Bauer).
Alien races and suchlike are also permitted. However, there are exclusions in place to keep the universe in some semblance of sense. They currently are:
Any other character from movies, TV, Video Games and even commercials are open for use.
NOTE: If a convincing enough application is put forth for any character falling within the exclusion list, GMs would consider it and make a decision on the quality of the app.

Since time began wars have been fought between good and evil. Great warriors etched their names in history with their courage, valour and honour. Their legacies lived on throughout the ages, inspiring young men to take up the way of the warrior and live their lives by an iron code.
Times have changed though. The modern world is a very different place to the world told in tales of ages past. Today a man is rarely measured by his courage and valour, but more often by his wealth and power. Mighty corporations rule the concrete jungles and the old ways are a dying breed, kept in the hearts of a mere few souls.
The Elder Gods, overseers of all life have become saddened and disillusioned by these events. Earth was the last ray of light in a universe where the darkness consumed all. Unsure of how to resolve this threat the quarrelling Gods chose to merge all realms, creating one single universe, giving both the light and darkness an equal opportunity to win this eternal war. All univeres were shattered and merged with the Earth, its inhabitants keeping their mystical power, but integrated into this single universe.
Around the world, mystical artifacts such as the Soul Edge and the Ghalali Key have surfaced and reached the attention of many who would seek to have it. These artifacts are the relics of old universes, reminders of a past that none are certain of.
Modern day heroes such as Sonya Blade, Sam Fisher, Jack Bauer and Solid Snake work for the U.S Government, protecting society and the world as we know it. Around the world, people with the potential to do great things live thier lives, unaware of their calling. John Rambo. Private "Soap" MacTavish. Terry Bogard. Liu Kang. Michael Knight. The A-Team. They are the names of just a few who have in them the valour, the courage and the strength to change the world.
But the threats are not just territorial. Through the darkness of space beyond there lives beings of great power also. Aliens, Predators and other life mill in the stars. Each of them seeing Earth as prime candidates for habitation.
In a world where darkness threatens to end the lives of millions, the Gods have made their stand and the warriors of Earth must fully realise the power and the potential they each carry inside of them.
Each must make a stand.
Each must choose a path.

What will this RPG bring to the RPG forums? (please write two complete sentences): The video game RPG was an underrated success and I think expanding upon that concept would bring greater appeal. The current non-comic RPGS are all either genre-specific or are specialist interest. Everyone watches TV, movie and most play video games. This RPG brings an almost limitless library of characters, races, situations and stories to the table.
