Are naked photos still shocking?

From what I've seen, everyone has posed naked and uploaded the images to the internet. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if pictures of me surface.

 

as far as celebs, it probably depends on whether they have a "goody" image or not. but that's probably just titillation, not shock.

 

Nudity has never really bothered me.

I think the context of the nude photos is what would lead me to judge them.

 

Not really. As I've grown up, TV standards got looser and the internet became more prevalent. It's one part maturity and one part being overexposed/numb to that stuff.

 

if naked pictures of your mom (or other close family member) started showing up all over the internet I don't think you'd be saying that lol

What applies to my mom doesn't apply to anyone else necessarily.

 

It's only shocking if they are fat and gross.

Naked photo's in and of themselves aren't shocking; it's who is portrayed in those photo's that's sometimes shocking. If photo's of people we expect or aren't surprised about show up (the Paris Hilton's and Kim Kardashian's of the world), then it's not that big a deal. On the other hand, if pictures of other notables show up (President Obama, Pope Benedict, etc.); then yeah, I'd still be shocked.

Context is everything.

But as for just a random naked person, it's kind of like "ok, you've got a human body under your clothes.....gasp....shock, what's your point?"

 

I'm so not shocked by naked photos that if some of you have nude pics of your ex gfs, current gfs, or any other attractive friend, I'm willing to look at them via pm and verify that they are not shocking.

EDIT: Depends on the context. If they thought they could trust the person they sent them to, I wouldn't. If they did it because they wanted to show off or wanted somebody to like them, then yeah, a little bit.

 

The only ones who get shocked are prudes. Usually the soccer moms.

I suppose context is key. People living in the developed world generally don't walk around naked unless they're trying to make a point (or intoxicated).

By contrast, photographs of nude tribal people aren't seen as lewd. Because well, they're usually naked or half naked.

I suppose it's arbitrary.

 

If it's a celeb not really know for doing it, then yeah we may be more interested as opposed to someone that plays exhibitionist all the time or is in porn. When those shots of Kat Dennings got released we were all over that ****.

 

these random girls/celebs posting nude pics/ or having them leaked out, are someones daughter, maybe even sister, mother, cousin,...

 

I've become so desensitized to nudity and whatnot that I really wouldn't care, let alone judge.
