Emma Stone recently said there's a storyline that they could do that would bring Gwen back, and we know Norman died in this film yet Webb has hinted that he will still play a role, and of course we know about the deleted head scene. Is all of this pointing to a clone saga adaptation in line with the Ultimate version of it, because that's definitely what it sounds like.

If so, God help us all.

Maybe it's the Ultimate Carnage weird ass story thing.

Love some of the Ultimate stuff but that story was weird.

maybe one way to cure the disease is to sever the head, and they were waiting to find a plausible way how to connect it to another body? I dunno, a little hokey but could work with the right execution

God, at first I thought you were in favor of it, but your last line redeemed you! LOL

If they did that it would be the most ridiculous plot twist in the history of CBM movies----worse than Superman turning back time. The audience general and fan alike would reject such manipulation.

Shoot I wanted Spock to stay dead.

With something like the Clone Saga, it's the execution of the idea that has been flawed, not the idea itself, and I have confidence in Webb and Co. being able to execute a Clone storyline in a way that would be satisfying and make sense.

Personally, I'd like to see something like the Clone Saga done because it fits perfectly within the framework of what they've set up, although I'd hold off on doing it until after the events of the Sinister Six and Venom films.

Clone sage takes lots of stick but I like it. It also gave us Ben Reilly and Kane.

Cletus Kassidy already exists in the TASM-verse, so I doubt they'd go the 'Gwen!Carnage' route.

Before anybody comes in here and says that the stuff on the Daily Bugle Tumblr page isn't 'canon', I'd like to point out that TASM2 contains a deliberate visual plug for said page (thank you, IGN), which pretty much solidifies that there's more to the site than just a viral marketing campaign and very much makes real the possibility that we could potentially see anything that's appeared on it show up in future films in some form or fashion.

I hope the Clone Saga will happen. A variation, at least. And I like Ultimate, but I hope it takes mostly from 616. I would really like to see the Jackal.

I don't want Clone Saga.

Unless it's Ben Reilly and Kaine.

But no Gwen... No clone Gwen.

No clone Gwen. I wouldn't mind Ben Reilly but please for the love of God don't have him go by the name "The Scarlet Spider." I was thirteen when that comic came out and even then, I thought it was the stupid superhero name I'd ever heard. Costume was cool though.

Miles Warren, like Cletus Kassidy, does exist in the TASM-verse, so I can't see them not using him if they were to do the Clone Saga in some fashion.
