Comics Are you ready for the SECOND COMING of the Mutant Messiah?

Good job at limiting the blondes on the cover to just Emma. Guess they didnt want to confuse us again

They need to establish some very simple rules about putting blondes on X-Men covers:

1. Emma must always be drawn in a skimpy white outfit
2. Magma must always appear on covers in her molten form
3. Magik must always have those razor-edge bangs and a visible sword in hand
4. Husk must always have part of her skin ripped off
5. Dazzler must always have sparkles around her face. Making her hair orange wouldn't hurt, either.

good rules that I wish they'd follow. Theres still some more like Dagger, Cuckoos and Meltdown and Im probably forgetting someonee

Heh, I remember y'all having the same debate not that long ago, just replace "blonde girls" with "asian girls". :p

Hmm...

1. Emma Psylocke must always be drawn in a skimpy white outfit
2. Magma Jubilee must always appear on covers in her molten form sunglasses
3. Magik Armor must always have those razor-edge bangs
4. Dazzler Surge must always have sparkles around her face. Making her hair orange blue wouldn't hurt, either.

How about that.

Heh, that was pretty much it, except swap Surge with Karma and "sparkles" with however you want to describe her power signature, and I think ya got it.

Dazzler's strawberry blonde. If they remember that it'd be even easier.

Hence why I said Dazzler's hair should be orange.

Kinda strange how Dazzler and Siryn are both strawberry blonde, but one constantly gets colored red and the other constantly gets colored yellow. I think Banshee became a redhead a few times despite also being strawberry blond. Then there's Hope Summers, who's been a redhead since Cable's series started, but was strawberry blonde throughout Messiah Complex.

Am I the only one who thinks it looks really ******ed when Wolverine's sideburns are drawn so that they are still visible when he has his cowl up?

I haaaate that.

^i was just gonna talk about those...

did anybody see/get "X-Men- Second Coming: Prepare" this week? its where those pics come from. i didnt even know it was coming out, but it basically a preview for the event. it has a story by Carey that video interviews various X-Men after someone died, but its hard to tell if it was after the end of the event or just one battle. just in case...
right off the bat it's not Scott, hes one being interviewed, and you see a covered body on an operating table thats clearly female. you have Iceman upset, Magneto sitting with the body, Cannonball depressed and overlooking the operation, and Wolverine yelling that he lost his friend. so who could this be to affect all these people? who did Sam fail as a leader, but it hurts Scott more? who's Logan's friend who could affect Magneto so? or maybe its multiple significant people...

It could be a New Mutant. Most likely candidates are Karma and Magma. Or Dani which would make more sense. If she dies, I see her being resurrected as a Valkyrie. OR it might be Kitty. Would suck if Fraction brought her back just to die. I didnt wsee the body as clearly female. It could very well be male. Maybe Wolverine ended up killing Bishop. He sounds bitter at the end for what he did

who is the girl kneeling with the new mutants?
looks like Karma. In that same shot, looks like Finch drew Cipher instead of Cypher. Of course once again, Marvel's editorial team is nowhere to be found

well the arm has no muscle definition, and in super hero comics even teenagers have guns and a six pack. also the chest is covered. no reason for that unless its hiding two things that arent appropriate for children.

I'm pretty sure the body we see on the operating table and the covered body with Magneto are two different bodies. For one, I don't think the one with Magneto is definitely female, unlike the one on the operating table. And two, look at the timestamps in the panels. When Bling (for that's the one recording the whole thing) talks Magneto to the time that she moves to Cannonball, roughly 50 minutes has passed, and there's no reason for them to operate on it after she's already died.

i prefer Cipher over Cypher...sooo, no big loss..or perhaps she joins the team

I don't see how anyone could kill Cipher, anyway. She's intangible when she wants to be, and invisible to all forms of detection including mutant scanners and all but a few psychics (Blindfold and Jean seemed like the only people capable of detecting her, and Scott said Emma couldn't).

are her powers a conscious effort? If she makes her self tangible for a moment, that can give a person an oppurtunity to kill her off

The girl spends 99% of her time intangible and invisible, as it is. There's a reason only Scott, Jean, and Ruth knew she existed until recently.

im glad she has intangibility to go along with invisibility...cuz she could get killed and nobody would ever know or care....if she were just invisible....struck by a car, fall off a cliff, stray bullet, etc...
