Hmm...Heh, I remember y'all having the same debate not that long ago, just replace "blonde girls" with "asian girls".![]()
They need to establish some very simple rules about putting blondes on X-Men covers:
1. Emma must always be drawn in a skimpy white outfit
2. Magma must always appear on covers in her molten form
3. Magik must always have those razor-edge bangs and a visible sword in hand
4. Husk must always have part of her skin ripped off
5. Dazzler must always have sparkles around her face. Making her hair orange wouldn't hurt, either.
no i absolutely hate it. thats why i cant stand it when Acuna and Dell'Otto draw him.Am I the only one who thinks it looks really ******ed when Wolverine's sideburns are drawn so that they are still visible when he has his cowl up?
I haaaate that.
^i was just gonna talk about those...
did anybody see/get "X-Men- Second Coming: Prepare" this week? its where those pics come from. i didnt even know it was coming out, but it basically a preview for the event. it has a story by Carey that video interviews various X-Men after someone died, but its hard to tell if it was after the end of the event or just one battle. just in case...
right off the bat it's not Scott, hes one being interviewed, and you see a covered body on an operating table thats clearly female. you have Iceman upset, Magneto sitting with the body, Cannonball depressed and overlooking the operation, and Wolverine yelling that he lost his friend. so who could this be to affect all these people? who did Sam fail as a leader, but it hurts Scott more? who's Logan's friend who could affect Magneto so?
looks like Karma. In that same shot, looks like Finch drew Cipher instead of Cypher. Of course once again, Marvel's editorial team is nowhere to be foundwho is the girl kneeling with the new mutants?
It could be a New Mutant. Most likely candidates are Karma and Magma. Or Dani which would make more sense. If she dies, I see her being resurrected as a Valkyrie. OR it might be Kitty. Would suck if Fraction brought her back just to die. I didnt wsee the body as clearly female. It could very well be male. Maybe Wolverine ended up killing Bishop. He sounds bitter at the end for what he did
are her powers a conscious effort? If she makes her self tangible for a moment, that can give a person an oppurtunity to kill her offI don't see how anyone could kill Cipher, anyway. She's intangible when she wants to be, and invisible to all forms of detection including mutant scanners and all but a few psychics (Blindfold and Jean seemed like the only people capable of detecting her, and Scott said Emma couldn't).
