Title Question

I might but mostly likely will end up going to a Conventional Theater

The first time I'll see the movie will be at a regular theater. But after that, who knows?

I'll have to make a road trip to do it but it will happen.

Not immediately, but without a doubt- hell yeah!

Absolutely!!!

But not until I've seen it on a regular screen at least four-five times. I guess I just want to make sure I know which part of the screen to focus on before plunking down that kinda cash to see it on IMAX. In fact I don't recommend to anyone seeing the picture for the first time on IMAX because you can't take it all in. You have to make choices as to which part of the screen to look at.

Plus, I don't know about most but in our IMAX theater, the seats are entirely too close to the screen. I remember watching SM 2 on IMAX and experiencing whiplash when I tried to follow Spidey swinging across the screen. LOL! I literally had a headache after watching Doc and Spidey duke it out on the train.

Another drawback to IMAX is you just see all the distracting things up-close that wouldn't normally catch your eyes on a regular size screen, stuff the filmmakers and actors hope you don't notice.

But the sound quality is awesome and there are some things worth getting blown out of your seat for. But again, only when you know where to look to see the stuff you most want to see.

Eventually. I saw 2 in IMAX and didn't really like being able to see every pimple covered with makeup. That and I'm not sure whose teeth are scarier on a huge screen- Kirsten Dunst or Venom.

^^^ Lol.

No, I'm not interested in going miles just to see SM3 in slighty-better quality. And there is a regular theater literally right behind my house and its only $4.50 a ticket

I probably will. only thing concerning me is that I have to go all the way into the city, then into the mall to see it in IMAX. I will probably and hopefully be able to go though.

How much is an IMAX ticket usually around?

I'm seeing it first on the big-screen twice. Then I might see it on the IMAX. I wouldn't recommend seeing it first in the IMAX for the same reasons the guy mentioned above.

The only IMAX theater here in Argentina I think is gonna play it, so yes. I'll watch it the first time there, and then on regular theaters.

So yes.

D!

IMAX in NYC cost $15

I'm to lazy to drive 3hrs to an imax, I rather take a 2min drive to my nearest theater.

I would love to have the experience, but we dont have an IMAX-theater over here in pathetic little Denmark!!! Must be some experience though.

I'm lucky there's and IMAX near me. Can't wait for the 3D scenes!

No 3D scenes... that was just Superman Returns.

Can't wait until Imax. In college at Long Island, but one of my friends from back home is coming up on that day- we're going to try to venture to NYC to catch the IMAX midnight showing in Times Square.... if not, definitely the following day.

there's no IMAX in times square. its around lincoln center, 68th and Broadway

I just saw 300 at Imax, we drove like an hour just to use the Imax screen to see it...

It was pretty pointless. The images don't look that much better, and the sound is worse than regular sound.
