Trailer
GameTrailers TV will have the trailer in HD tomorrow as well as a preview of the game.

I know a lot of people didn't like the first one, but I enjoyed it and it was fun playing it in co-op with my borther.

I can't believe how little response this game seems to have gotten. I've finished it, and I loved it. Much better than the first one, and some of the co-op tactics are fantastic. The moral choices are great too.

The laggy controls from the demo pushed me to not purchase the game. I actually feel the game took a step backwards but maybe it's been too long since I played the original.

I want it quite a lot. Had a lot of interest in the first AoT, just never got round to buying it. This one seems to have kicked it up a notch, and deserves my monez.

I never found the controls that laggy, except occasionally with melee attacks. I found it pretty tight for the most part. The only thing that annoyed me is that there are no audio options, and the audio levels are all over the place, which means you miss some good dialogue (and there are no subtitles). The co-op is fantastic though... heaps of fun to co-op snipe together, or take a hostage, and the moral choice thing actually works quite well. It's much better than the first one.

The only thing is i'm not quite sure what happened with the ending, it confused me a little.

Bought it last weekend and plowed through it co-op with a buddy (which is the best way to enjoy this game). The interface and controls are tight, intuitive, and responsive. The story was a little lackluster, but the dialogue and delivery is spot on. Though I haven't tested the mulitplayer yet, I can't find any major flaws in the campaign. I plan to play through it again on Professional just to unlock all the goodies. Has anyone actually made use of the create-a-mask feature on armyoftwo.com? I'm curious if it's even worth it.

It must've just been some sort of issue with the demo then. I played it 3 times giving it a shot each time and would have the same issues each time.

The cover system also really gave me hell on a few occassions when I was trying to revive my partner. (This had been mentioned in the reviews)

I also thought the demo was a turnoff

Well I never had any of those problems... Sure sometimes when you're healing someone you can get shot, thats totally part of the strategy... either you drag them into cover, or they crawl there. It's great for co-op tactics. You really need to play co-op (preferably with someone in the room with you) before you can really see what gold the game has to offer... and the moral choices are pretty intense, and have great repurcussions beyond how they make you feel. I was playing with a friend, and at one stage we both wanted to do different things, and it really affected the way were were working as a team... It's great to have a simple thing like that actually affect you're attitude towards a game.

Yeah I also felt like the controls were pretty laggy, almost Killzone 2 laggy.

Was that the Demo or the actual game?

I'm hoping most of you know that it's next to impossible for a game to have the actual controls (i.e. the player interface) experience lag. If this is seriously your issue then it's a HARDWARE problem and has nothing to do with the game itself. Kids these days...

I can't say i've ever experience laggy controls in any game, save for wii games or an online match of something. Judging by most people saying they had this problem with the Demo, I would say it was an issue with that demo. I found the controls fine on the actual game. I really enjoyed it too... It's the first co-op game i've played in a while where as soon as I finished my friend and I wanted to start another game immediately.

I had zero problems with the demo and game. Am I an anomaly, or just not prone to exaggeration for exaggeration's sake?

That game wasn#t on my radar. I played the demo, which I had no problem with, and I'll probably rent it to play it with a friend.

So, it was my controller or my console? Why does it not happen in any other game?

The only explanation I can think of besides hardware is that their servers were overloaded on the days I was playing the demo, thus delaying my movements. Most of the time it would delay a walk or aiming (sometimes pulling the sights upwards without the ability to interrupt).

We are talking about EA servers here.

Or, these youngins are band-wagon hoppers and simply lying or exaggerating.

An lag between button press and in-game action can easily be the developers fault, and it obviously is when people aren't experiencing control lag in other games.

I used my terminology for a reason. "Next to impossible" = HIGHLY Unlikely, not unheard of. Especially when there are more than a majority of users not having such a problem.
