With Escape Plan, co-starring Sylvester Stallone, heading into cinemas in Novembers, and with Sabotage (nee Ten) and The Expendables 3 already lined up for 2014, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a bit of a busy man.

Next year, he's expected to take a sizeable role in the new Terminator film, which is being directed by Alan Taylor for a 2015 release. But before that, there's another project he's sneaking in. The man himself has confirmed on his Twitter feed that shooting has now begun on Maggie, a film in which he co-stars with Abigail Breslin.

Directed by Henry Hobson (who's previously worked as a titles designer on the likes of The Lone Ranger, The Hangover Part II and the mighty Rango), the movie sees Breslin play a teen girl who becomes infected by a zombie. Her family - including Schwarzenegger - then have to try to come to terms with her slow transformation.

Maggie is expected to be released towards the end of next year.

Sounds interesting, and if Arnie is in it, I want to see it.

It sounds like The Last of Us. Hell, Schwarzenegger even looks like Joel with the hair and beard.

I already said in some other new zombie movie thread I'm getting sick of zombies but I can make an exception for this.

Arnie's looking good, anything with him in it I will watch.

Will Arnold go full action mode in the final scene?

I'll watch any movie with Arnie in it.

Sounds like one the those more dramatic roles that Arnie said he wanted to try now that he's getting older.

If his character dies or turns to zombie, it will be disappointing

HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!

I love that Schwarzenegger's return to film is seeing him try out some more diverse uses of facial hair. I never counted roles where he just had stubble, so now with movies like Escape Plan and this, it's like, "hey, let's see if I can look a little different from movie to movie." I approve! :yay:

I'd rather see him as a zombie on walking dead.

Nice to see him in a film that sounds like it's going to be more of a dramatic role.

When's this supposed to come out? August? Or for Halloween?

Arnold hasn't been too lucky at the box office these days but I wonder if the zombie thing will help if they release it around October. He's got Sabotage soon as well.

I don't find Ahhnald to be a good actor in the slightest but I'm always game to see a movie when an actor is trying something different

arnold looks good with the beard.

this sounds like an interesting project. will it be a comedy? or a drama? or dramedy?

Entertainment Tonight's set visit for Maggie.

:awesome: for that movie quote bit.
