Did any on you think the last season was a bit too self-referential? The whole premise of S.O.B's was that it was essentially the show pleading for its life.

Even all the refferences to the "Home Builder Organization" and "it's Shotime!" I thought it was funny but it might have turned some people off for how much it was breaking the 4th wall.

They knew their death was likely waiting right around the corner. They had every right to be as self-referential as they pleased. And I loved every second of it.
