Personally, I wouldn't mind having either one of the previous composers back.

Zimmer's score was memorable and badass. I really really like it. Horner's was however much better written and more varied. Honestly, anyone who calls it generic has either not listened to it enough, or is... Okay, I'll stop here.

Still, though, I'd love for anyone of the two composers to return. If not them, Alan Silvestri would be interesting. That is, if Marvel Studios don't own him or something.

How about you guys?

Kewl.

Did you not enjoy Horner's score very much?

It could have been a lot better. I liked the main theme, though. But even that could definitely be improved upon.

I love Zimmer & Co's soundtrack on CD but it didn't work at all in the film IMO. Way too cartoony and weird at points. I don't know what I'd want in the third film.

I like Zimmer, but i don´t want the "Magnificent six" back, all i want is a great epic score to the last Marc Webb movie (as far as we know), i really liked Horner´s "Promises/ End credits" and some of the other songs but that´s it, i actually liked many of Zimmer´s soundtrack specially "I´m Goblin", "You´re that spider-guy","The rest of my life" and "My Enemy" is really catchy. but sometimes it didn´t work in the movie like electro scenes all i could hear was loud dubstep on the other hand "i´m Goblin" helped the scene a lot and the emotional scenes too

Huh. I find it to be nothing short of masterpiece.

I actually found the score way better in the film than on the CD. It was pretty whatever on the CD, but in context with the film - damn.

Listen to this... You ready?

ZIMMER......

AND HORNER

DH pt 2's score was brilliant, but I don't know of he can capture the Spidey feel. Fingers crossed Zimmer returns, though.

I loved the score, first score top to bottom that I listen constantly when I am at the gym. I am hoping he comes back with the Magnificent Six again. Maybe even include Horner that would be killer.

Desplat can DEFINITELY do big.

The sheer scale of the DH Pt.2 score is just... Damn. Whether he can do Spidey, though, that's a different question, yeah.

Horner's score was a total bore but I did like most of Zimmer's score. I wouldn't mind Zimmer coming back, he seems like the go to guy for comicbook movies now anyway.

Listen to his Godzilla score, re-evaluate your post, and then edit this post.:o:oldrazz:

IMO, keep Zimmer, lose the uninteresting / weird (IE "he lieeeeedd to meaaaaahhhhh he shooottttt at meeeeee") parts of the score. Horner probably has no interest in coming back.

Yeah I kinda hated that so no more of that. Ever.

I didn't hate the stuff, but I wouldn't really mind if it'd been removed, either.

I think it should've stayed on the CD. That is, not in the movie.

I'd enjoy listening to Hans tackling a villain like Mysterio, a character who deals in special effects and illusions.

I enjoyed parts of Zimmer's work but on the overall score I enjoyed Horner's much more. I doubt Horner would come back and at this point I'm doubtful that Zimmer and the M6 would return--kinda feeling like that was a one shot deal. Maybe just Zimmer this next time??

I felt Zimmer's was just boring. It wasn't as good as his Batman and Superman stuff.

How about John Williams? Only man who could probably top Elfman.

I get the impression the Magnificent Six would drop everything and come a runnin' if Hans gave them a call. I don't think Johnny Marr would say no.

The ASM2 score was way more ambitious than most OSTs being released right now. At least I hope you can recognize that.

Anyway, I doubt John Williams would do Spidey. Doesn't seem like he'd be interested, tbh.

Oh yeah, no doubt. Johnny and Hans have a good relationship so if he did want him to come back, he'd do it for sure.

I actually like the idea that they essentially formed a band to make the ASM2 soundtrack. I enjoyed the score for the most part, just not as a whole. For starters I do not like the main SM theme. That's kind of a biggie. There are some spectacular moments though and I was really keen on his idea of using the clarinet for Max. Such an interesting and perfect choice imo.

But like any band that works and records together, there will be a progression in their efforts. So, in that regard it would be cool to have all the members of the M6 return. Have them all recording together again and see how much they are able to bounce off one another and come up with some good jams.
