It's not just that it's gory, Attack on Titan is very bleak. It's borderline despair porn at times.

Not related, but has anyone here watched The Cabin in the Woods? I've always thought that film could have acted as a prelude to a big screen adaption of Attack on Titans, considering that end scene..
