Does anybody know where I can some descent software for remixing music for free? Or at least a demo that works for a long time?

Besides virtual dj of course. I've already used up the 30 days on that.

thanks

If you're on a mac, Garage Band seems to be the most popular option. If you're on a PC, Some of the larger name products are ProTools, ACID, Cakewalk, and FL Studio, among others. Audacity is a free, open source alternative.

Albion live and reason 4 together are unstoppable

Fruity Loops is very easy to work with. Also try DSS DJ 5.6, it says it's a trial but I've had for two years, you can only record thirty minute sessions though, it's more like a toned down version of Virtual DJ.

I would agree. Since everything in Fruity Loops is done visually, it's easier to use for someone who is not accustomed to working with a digital audio suite. Fruity Loops goes by the name FL Studio now.

thanks this audacity is coming in handy for some things, but for other things I need to be able to do it by ear while it's playing, the way you can on virtual dj
