Let's discuss EG' s visual style and cinematography.

How would you compare it to IW's visual style?

Personally, I think i liked the dark blue-ish color filtering of EG a bit more natural than the "orange-y" feel of IW, although both films look gorgeous.

What do you think?

Given it time, I'm sure someone will be along eventually to denigrate Endgame and compare the visuals to a TV show. Its inevitable.

*ahem*

I think the only Avengers film that can be compared to that is the first film, due to its aspect ratio.

The following 3 Avengers films felt quite more "cinematic".

I'd like to comment on the Russo's abuse of quick cuts. They never had that problem in CA:TWS, but in IW and EG they don't know when to let an action scene marinate. It continues to drive me crazy every time I watch. Example, when the Big 3 regroup and spot Thanos sitting around waiting. They charge at him and boom - the Russo's cut away.

They were trying to service too many individual moments rather than show some actual teamwork.

Visually I do love how both films are so different, but honestly I think overall I prefer IW, because of the scenes that took place on Nidavellir and Titan alone. I just love the use of colors in those scenes not to mention the gorgeous cinematography. Throw in Vormir too and the movie is even more cinematic and beautiful to look at.

Tough call, but I've gotta give the edge to Endgame for its lightly textured effect in beautiful shots like this one.

The Titan scene was beautiful.
