We've got one computer in this house, and my folks don't want me to put a file-sharing program on it until we get a decent virus protection program. But, they don't want to pay for one, so we have a jam.

Good.

He's one of my favorite artists. He's from Beltsville, MD - not too far from where I live. He had a comic strip in the newspaper for a while, called "Liberty Meadows," but he kept having trouble with the papers because his sense of humor was a little odd and they tended to crack down on him for lame reasons, so he took "Liberty Meadows" to image comics. A while back he did a 7-part series for Shanna the She-Devil and recently he's done New Avengers, I think.

He's self-taught, sort of like you. And he's one of my favorite artists.

I'd imagine so. That's such a short trip for him. Maryland is about the size of shoebox.

I have to admit I don't go to cons anymore. I used to to anime cons when I was in college. It was fun until the novelty wore off. ;)

Baltimore con is cool. Denny O'Niel was there this past year. I went to his panel. Shame it wasn't longer. It was funny how he learned of BB and that one of his characters was being used in it. Joe quesada ran up to him saying how great the script was and O'Niel had no clue what he was talking about. So he kind of go to do the novel as to not piss him off anymore.

God that panel was greatness:(

He even talked about the Finger vs Kane debate. I agree with what he said

Denny O'Neill rules. Sounds like I should go to this thing. Is it held in the convention center across the street from Camden Yards?

And what did Denny say about Finger vs. Kane?

AKA, you became one of the old creepy guys that really shouldn't be there. :(

http://www.comicon.com/baltimore/ all the info you need:o

He basically said Finger didn't deserve to die the way he did and should still get recognized somewhat. But Kane came up with the concept and character so he should still get the official credit and not be discarded just because.

Which was always my feelings on it personally.

Nah that's the dude who runs the bootleg booth.

LOL!!! Hell I was 22 at my last con, I think. I never dressed up, but it was nice seeing the girls in revealing costumes. However, the friends I went to the con with started getting more interested in playing games in the common areas with strangers (they had a game called Mafia that they were addicted to and that I did not enjoy) than they were in watching anime in the viewing rooms (the fan subs were always hilarious) so I had no reason to go anymore. Then I realized I really didn't like anime all that much anyway. So I bought a wind-up Bender in the dealer room as the perfect souvenir from my final con, and I'm good.

Dammit, now I'm spamming up Larissa's thread too. She'll forgive me because she likes me. :D

LOL. Dude, there was a guy... a guy who came to ALL the Anime cons - Katsucon, Otakon... didn't matter. Actually two guys. One was a septuagenarian man dressed as Sailor Moon.

The other was this old fat guy who always went to all the parties and grunted and sweated a lot and tried to talk to all the chicks. We called him Jabba.

Edd can move at speeds up to 1 mile an hour if the wind is in his favor.
