Bad Movies You Genuinely Enjoy

I'm gonna have to say Masters of the Universe. I just love that flick.

I haven't seen that since the late 90's. I'll have to watch it again.

Gods of Egypt (just for Courtney Eaton:ilv:)
Beverly Hills Ninja
The Avengers (1998)

Conan the Destroyer
Supergirl
Masters of the Universe
Prince of Space

This was a truly great bad film lol could never remember the name of it googled "Eddie Murphy Moon Movie"

Super Mario Brothers
I know this is a so bad it's good movie with flaws including persons don't react realistically when seeing Mario and others teleport in New York City, most of the movie Mario and Luigi don't wear their bright colors outfits from the video game, also I found out from Guilty Movie Pleasures why the science is terrible and highly flawed for this movie, etc.
The movie is entertaining from start to the end, I enjoy the 2 incompetent henchmen that have more than 3 times captured the wrong woman, even if this was just a paycheck from Dennis Hopper he still gives a good performance as President Koopa a tyrannical villain, John and Bob have great chemistry as Mario and Luigi, and they did have a beautiful woman play the Princess..,
Also the sets of Dinohattan looked great and impressive for a dystopian world same as Blade Runner which is highly logical because of the same set designer.
King Koopa "You know what I love about mud? It's clean and it's dirty at the same time."
1 of my favorite lines in this movie

Bullet To The Head
Director Walter Hill the same man responsible for the great Action not PC movie 48 Hours was unable to create an action movie that great with Bullet To The Head.
The movie has obvious issues including even with immoral methods the Villains are improving New Orleans so no valid reason for an antihero and the main hero to oppose and fight them, except is still an entertainingly bad movie including what Jimmy says to 1 main villain Keegan before picking up the ax for an axe fight, has a gorgeous woman Sarah Shahi as Jimmy's daughter Lisa, Jason Momoa is a great bad guy Keegan and it's entertaining that he wears what looks like same kind of tank top sold at Golds Gym and jeans which not a dime a dozen clothes for a Villain, etc.

I don't consider movies that I enjoy bad, but one "so bad it's good" movie I like is Troll 2.

Since it's on TV right now, Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. I don't love it or anything, but I think it's enjoyable. The make-up and production design are fantastic.

This would have to go to the latest Hellboy movie. It's not good, but has so many things in from the comics I have been dying to see on screen for years that I enjoy it. Namely The Wild Hunt, Baba Yaga and her Chicken Leg House, Hellboy wielding Excalibur, among others.

It is the best of the terrible video game movie adaptations out there. The story I heard behind it goes something like the director duo was a married couple who decided not to make a Super Mario movie but some kind of weird interpetation of what they wanted to do instead. So they did that using the Super Mario characters. The Wikipedia article has a different take on that claiming it is now a prequel.

Both are overly simplistic versions of what really went on. I have a soft spot for the movie. It may not be perfect, but it's fascinating and fun, and does feature lots of elements, as well as easter eggs and references of the movie. It's pretty much all there, adapted for the big screen adaptation.

The Brothers Grimm. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger vs evil Monica Belluci in a fairy tail setting as directed by Terry Gilliam. Come on.

Rest of the cast is pretty good too.

The Island of Dr. Moreau is pretty much unwatchable but I kinda love it simply for the behind-the-scenes drama that went on. I’ve probably read more about the insanity surrounding that movie than any other film. It’s fascinating. The documentary about it (I think it’s still on Amazon Prime) is really good. I kinda wish they’d make a feature film about the making of that movie like they did with The Disaster Artist.

Gods of Egypt
Exodus Gods and Kings
Alexander (all versions)

I watched Killpoint (1984) on YouTube yesterday. Terribly made movie but when you have guns, muscles, murder, and Cameron Mitchell letting a dog smoke a cigarette you've earned an occasional re-watch.

These are the first two that came to mind.

I’ve always thought this was universally well liked and reviewed. I’ve never heard anyone call it “bad.” Maybe I run in different circles.

And I love this movie by the way.

New Best Friend. Best poorly shot quasi-thriller with lesbianics I've ever seen.

The Smokers. Takes a hilariously bad premise -- college girls decide to strike back at bad men by raping them -- and manages to make it worse.

American Psycho 2. A pseudo-sequel to American Psycho starring Mila Kunis and William Shatner (!) that must be seen to be believed. And you still might not believe it.

Everyone always mentions Troll 2 but I think the original Troll is underrated in its amazing terribleness.

WORKS BURGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do the Leprechaun movies count, because while they are all pretty much bad that hasn't stopped me from enjoying them in the past? Warwick Davis really makes those movies watchable IMO.

  • Battlefield Earth
  • Double Dragon
  • Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

I have it on the list of movies I will watch within the following months, I hope it's a fun experience for me.
