RIP to Nell and RIP to his hilarious, nobody-loves-me persona in the Relationship Thread.

That guy that Hunter hated was banned? Good, I don't like to see my baby that annoyed.

You seemed quite parched. I hope this is enough to quench your thirst.

If that's who theShape is on facebook, he must have a lot of male facebook friends and followers.

Yup, I have 37 Facebook friends as of my last count. 36 males and 1 trans-gender buddy. Too many friends to keep track of!

I'm serious! You were like Spongebob trapped in Sandy's dome over hibernation.

Sad to see Nell go.Don't know what people had against him (even the mods!).The little I knew about him was that he liked the less liked X-Men films ( I sympathize) and drew the ire of the X-forum because of it.

I guess folks have their reasons, but he was hardly the biggest jerk around here in my estimation.

I think Nell will be missed here. I can understand why some didn't like him, but I thought he was a fairly approachable guy. I can understand he gets heated with his opinion on certain topics (X-men, wrestling) and may come across abrasive. He got along with Anita and Erz in relationship thread pretty well. I didn't have a problem with him in that thread.

Regardless of your opinion of any particular moderator ruling, arguing with moderators publicly is wrong approach / disrespectful if you really want to stay here. You may not always agree, but the mods here seem to put a lot of thought in their rulings and discussing it openly. I don't really see that on other sites. There are other ways to address the situation I think. Compromise is important in life.

I wish him the best all in life and the best in finding a relationship.

I don't think Nell was really a bad guy but we did go at it a number of times because I couldn't take his stance on the X-men movie franchise seriously.

I find the X-Men boards to be obnoxious a lot of the time but that's just me.

He came across as very needy and sensitive to criticism. He was too easily irked by comments that challenged or contradicted his beliefs and couldn't let things go. This was evident in the x forums and relationship thread. If that is what finally set him off, then the mods probably did him a favor. It sucks not being able to go out on your own terms, but sometimes you need a kick in the arse to mature a bit.

Nell just played the victim-card ALL.THE.TIME. Whether it was on the X-boards ("I like movies no one else likes, so no one likes me"), the relationship thread ("I can't get laid, someone tell me what to do. Now tell me what to do a hundred more times, and I won't follow your advice, but I'll keep asking for it"), arguing with mods ("all the mods are secretly against me, except a few mods who back me in private. Also someone else can have your IP").

It's just so pathetic and sad. That's part of the reason I couldn't stand the guy. He just wallowed in self-pity and wanted everyone to feel sorry for him, instead of actually listening to people and trying to address his problems. He preferred being depressed and hopeless to actually resolving anything.

So good riddance. :o

I was sympathetic to Nell, in the X-Thread and Wrestling threads, couldn't catch a break…and he just didn't know when to let things go…

…but he was hella annoying in the relationship thread…

He'll be missed by me…at least…

…and Charl too…:csad:

I actually liked Nell but he did have some issues like serious psychological ones he needed to discuss with a medical professional. No shade either I just got the sense he was a very sad individual.

It's easy to criticize a person when they can't speak for themselves. I guess I'm guilty as well with my last post. But just remember, in the off chance Nell is reading as a guest, never put people down when they're already down and can't defend themselves, especially when it leaves you with nothing to gain. We put people down naturally on an instinctive basis every day, but don't to it intentionally.

Your not wrong with your point about him, but your not entirely right either because it doesn't give the whole picture. We don't know Nell, because we aren't in his life to see his actions. We merely take things at his word on a message board. What he leads us to believe and the actual reality of the situation may be entirely different.
