Question for all hyper users and mods, what's the funniest/ craziest ban you have seen here?

Wontkins was the funniest recent one. He got banned, made a new account called Wontkins Mom and bashed the mods for banning her "son".

Actually, according to Hype legend, at the end of the Hype WontkinsMom will return leading an army of the banned against the staff. The lounge will crumble under the weight of a million gifs and the servers will frequently lag. They say in that day that the entire forum will fall into a chaos like that of the batboards and spideyboards. Thus the battle of Modageddon begins. The mods will fall to the trolls but the administrators will make a last stand with their magical banhammers. Braincrusher will rise (via jetpack, of course) from the pit in which he has for so long lurked and will summon the snowsharks that he has tamed. What happens after that, none can say, except that there will be a great flash of light, and a great reset, and then the boards will begin again, renewed. And at last there shall be peace.

We had a guy called DARKMAN here around 2001 that sent pics of his wiener to the 4 or 5 gals that posted here... he got banned for that...lol

If you're permanently banned, when you log in, you see a message that that your ban will never expire and you can't do anything else or click anywhere except to log out.

That's what a friend told me.

I've never been permabanned anywhere although I have been on the ban-administering side on other forums in the past and when you're banned for good, all your privileges are gone except browsing the board like any other non-registered member would be.

I tried talking to KS sometimes and he was even polite at times. But his banning was a long time coming. He would just get so upset and rude all the time. People would try to reason with him and he just went on and on. It's not like he wasn't given chances to save himself. This ban was likely his own fault.

Most bannings are the fault of the poster.

Admittedly there are circumstances where they get goaded into becoming lunatics by others but mostly everyone has to take responsibility for their own mistakes.

95% of bannings are justified. But there have been 1 or 2 cases where a mod had a kneejerk reaction and wanted to make an example, and the boards become less for having lost those posters. But meh, innocent people go to jail too occasionally. That's the price you pay for law and order online and offline.
