Hello! Please don't pummel me with tomatoes, I know I'm new here so art-posting feels kind of strange. I don't really get much feedback on my "fan" artwork in the boonies (mostly "oh, you drew Batman. that's cute. oh, who is that? green what?"), so it'd be really awesome if you guys could give me your opinions!

here's a couple moody batman sketches:

I really like this sketch. Excellent shadows and proportions.

But look at the way he's standing. People rest their weight on the front of their foot. With the way Batman is standing, he looks like he is going to tip over. Since his weight baring leg is his right leg, the right foot should be aligned directly below his right shoulder. You actually showed even better posture in that smaller sketch in the top right hand corner.

And remember you're not done until there's no negative exponents.

^really depends on the pose, who crazy i get about coloring it, etc. My Croc took about 4 or 5 hours I think.

Wow this is a fantastic piece. Love the pose. I actually rather like color dropped into the background. really makes it pop.

Okay, so... been a while since I posted but... I intended this to be for the July fanart contest, but I didn't get it done in time because I'm having terrible trouble inking. So I thought I'd put it up here and see if anyone wants to ink it if they have the spare time/desire... or any advice on how to make the inking process easier. Any comments would be appreciated!

As for what's being said:

Harvey: "We just put away over 500 of Gotham's criminals. Who is going to mess with us now?"

Joker: "Your pie."
