Why don't you all just admit that whatever Nolan does you'll follow it no matter how much it may stink. Nolan fans will support anything he does and say it's a good Batman movie even if it's not. The praise I've read for Begins always reminded me more of a cult following than a bunch of movie fans. The Dark Knight will be the same way.

Wee'll (the Btaman fans) will rip Nolan a new one if he messes up TDK. So we reserve judgment until we actually see the movie. That goes for everything else in it (Joker, Cycle, New suit, story).
We're just excited because BB was so superb. Batman89 is a charming adaption but even at 14 years of age I was cursing the fact that it was all shot on a sound stage and that he was immobile in his suit and of course the continuity changes.
It's just excitment,. They got BB so right..ya know?

Either that or maybe the Tumber doesn't get completely smoked, and they rebuild it's remains bigger and better into something else....I don't know.

Well, according to a discussion I'm having on another board it has been concluded that Optimus Prime will be the new Batmobile, so that's bigger and better, right?

Well, if that's the case then Batman could stay home and have Optimus Prime do all the ass-kicking for him.

bat pod all seems a bit batmissile to me from batman returns

I was thinking the same thing. Wait until the third movie comes out, the suit will have nipples. Does anyone else have a problem with a motorcycle having two very large pertruding guns coming off the front of it? It just seems to destroy the logistics of using a bike.

And there I was being all reasonable and stuff,
#and then you go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid, like... Nolan is goning to put nipples on the Batsuit.
I reserve judgement on the guns. I'm sure there's areason, and I doubt if it's for mowing down pedestrians who get in his way.

Wow, I didn't realize that by referencing a previous movie as you did was found as stupid. I just thought I would put a slight comedic spin on how there was a similarity that both you and I thought of. Personally, I thought that was a clever leap not a stupid comment but that's just me. Anyway, I've already made my judgement but I will wait to see if my judgement is accurate. However, I am curious as to how it will work as a motorcycle with two long rods coming off the front.

the guns are for takin down villians and criminals duh!! cant wait to see that. maybe he'll use it on the jokermobile, that purple pickup. i like when batman uses his vehicles to take down criminals, so i hope we see that in TDK. i enjoyed it in burtons films like the batwing scenes and in Returns with all those "tripping" gadgets.

The tumbler has missiles and bombs that drop out the back.

OH NOES. GUNZ ON DA BIKE?!

:woot:

Tumbler had machine guns as well.

Motorcycles don't have anywhere to hide the barrels.

After all the love and effort that went into the Tumbler I still can't figure why they're so keen to blow it up for TDK. Does it have that much of an impact on the story? Time will tell. The only thing I can figure is that for #3 they have something else already planned. Either that or maybe the Tumber doesn't get completely smoked, and they rebuild it's remains bigger and better into something else....I don't know.
From what Chris Corbould said (briefly mind you) in the Good Morning American interview that was posted online, they originally wrote the story treatement without the bike, but realised tha for Batman to do something, that a vehicle change was required. Hence the bike gets written in and the Tumbler gets a valiant death.

That's exactly what I imagined when I first heard it "emerged" from the Tumbler.

I hate it! I havn't seen it in action yet, but still its so un-batman. I was pissed when i saw the Tumbler before the movie was out, but i changed my mind after seein' it in action, maybe i will too with the "Bat:dry:Pod"
But for now i rated it 2...

Did you guys forgot that Burton's Batmobile also had machine guns and bombs?

Thanks! Now, if only we could figure out what that *something* is that Batman has to do.....then again, perhaps I don't want to be spoiled that much.

Here's a question for you....

Do they mean emerging from the tumbler as in actually exiting the tumbler like you would a tunnel...

Or

emerging from the tumbler as in the rumors of the tumblers demise and they bike being built from the remains?

Cuz i can see no f**king way that bike can do the first option at all. Which really p*sses me off as i love the Tumbler, for me it's the best batmobile so far.

He has to enter a motocross rally. That's what the new suit is for, isn't it?
