its hard for me to explain i liked the big wheels on the tumbler but on a motorcycle i don't like it looks as if its gonna go 4 mph and u cant really see a engine and ho the heck do u change gears or direction and to me a motorcycle should have guns on it really maybe a computer on it or throws tacks behind to pop the peoples tires but thats just me

I didnt even want a batpod in the movie so when I first saw the pics I instantly said I hated it when actually I thought it was ok

I'm sure they'll make a new batmobile in the third film. Why do they always have to get rid of batmobiles in every movie (except for the first one)? The tumbler is awesome and Burton's first batmobile was great too.

I hope they will. If they make batman ride around in a batpod all the time then im gonna be pissed

i think the reason why the batpod is in the movie is because nolan doesnt want to repeat himself. there needs to be a chasing scene in a batman movie. so insted of again make a tumbler scene they made the batpod so it looks different.
it is something new.

Next time they'll just have two military vehicles race each other. Oh wait, that's what the tumbler and pod are. How about by the third film Nolan creates a Batman inspired vehicle?

Because that's silly?

I guess these should get posted in here for those visitors looking for the Batpod quickly: :word:

Man, I'm not sure if they have to put a lot of it together during the move or if they have to remove a lot to work on something. Missing the guns, and a whole lot more.

So is a man wearing a Bat suit but we're all here as fans aren't we. It's only silly because the two new movies have moved so far from the sourse material it's going to be hard to come back to why we're fans in the first place. It's Batman, as silly as it is he should have things that are bat related. Should it be as bad as the 60's show, no, but it needs to be better than taking everything from the military and using it at face value.

There are so many things wrong with that statement I'm not sure where to start.

Is a man wearing a Bat-suit silly? Absolutely. But it does serve a FUNCTION, which is to make him more intimidating.

The two new movies have moved so far from the source material? Begins was no farther from the source material than Batman 89 or Batman Forever. Every film has made changes but every one of them has also kept the core of the characters intact. You're getting hung up on superficial details.

When you watched TAS did Batman's grappler have a bat motif on it? No. Did Keaton's? No. Do the batarangs? Yes. And so do Bale's. Bats have a lot of points so it works, especially when the batarangs are shuriken, as they are in Nolan's films.

Why should a car have bat-fins? What purpose does that serve? It doesn't add a damn thing to the myth of Batman, it doesn't add any functionality. It's just there to "look cool." It's flashy and superficial, and those are not qualities that I associate with Batman.

Batman is the king of pragmatists, and you know it.

it's not like people are meant to see his vehicles for an extended amount of time

REGARDLESS OF THE ARMOR SCENE IN BATMAN RETUNRS

I'm so happy that the Batpod is what it claims to be, pure power in a sleek, industrial frame. And not just some Kawasaki with a fiberglass shell.

i love the batpod. it's amazing, i hope they use the machine guns on it.

I know the suit has a function, I love the Batman costume, the good ones at least. The gun grappler didn't have a Bat motif to it but his car did, his plane did, his boats do, and his twin grappler did in 89. The purpose the fins, or any other Bat-ified thing has is to one, show it's Batman's, and two, because it's part of the story. Seeing the Tumbler and the Pod drive down the street tells me the military was here not Batman. Dont' change a 70+ year old story just because we now need to make it "real". All Bale would have to say in the movie is, "Hey, I want everything to be like a Bat," and the audience would have to go with it like it or not. Some would hate it, some would love it. The point is it's part of the history. Bryan Singer didn't change the Fortress of Solitude into a Metropolis bachelor pad just because it's more functional. As far as function I'm sure the wirters can come up with a function, heck, the fins on the arm had a function in the first movie and now serve antoher purpose in this one. As bad as it was the Forever car's wings were supposed to make the car glide, they were going to act as wings. Not that I wanted to see that specifically but it's an example. Another reason I want to see more Bat things is because I feel the suit is moving farther and farther away from what Batman is supposed to look like. In 89 it was close, armor and humanly muscular but black. Returns made it look weird, and Forever and that other one went gay. Begins wasn't bad if the color scheme was different but now TDK went the wrong way with it. Now instead of finding his routes he went Green Goblin on us.

it is something new.

The problem is that there's too many new things in one film.

Sort of like what he did with the Tumbler? As detailed by Nathan Crowley, the Tumbler was designed to resemble the shape of a live bat: the nose cone being the head, and pieces that hold the front tires being the "wrists" (the joint at the upper side of the bat's wing the branches into the fingers that give the wing it's scalloped look). It's actually an incredibly clever design, and resembles a bat with it's wings folded around it. Take a look:

In the future you may want to look into these things before making such comments.

evidence what evidence plus if fox had a tumbler in black he should have another lol
