Batman and Son (Batman #655 - #658)

the reason that thread was made was just for this reason, so there wouldnt be a bunch of redundant threads going on. For a while it seemed like every damn week someone was putting up a new thread, when they could have been posting in the old one. Seriously, how f**kin hard is it to actually look for another thread before making a new one?

How hard is it to avoid a thread that you wish didn't exist?

What harm does this create so there are two threads does this cause you great pain did you get cancer because there is more than one? Some of the people in here over react about the dumbest things.

OMG THERE IS MORE THAN ONE THREAD ABOUT THE SAME THING!!!11!!!!one!!!!

Easier to navigate? Whats hard about skipping over a post or two ?

Im not going off on a tyraid I am simply expressing that this being in two topics in no way hurts you or any one else and there is no reason for you to cry about it being here.

In all truth, it isn't really going to hurt anything to have this thread here Joker, so why bother arguing a moot point. Obviously nobody but you cares, that the other thread is there, so why not conserve your energy and the space of this thread, and stop wasting your time, his time and everybody elses time as a matter of fact. No harm no foul right? Besides, this is a specific thread to a specific arc, where as the other thread is a general thread about Batman comics. Nobody wants to wade through pages of crap, just to talk about one specific title. There is more than one Batman book. Why try and discuss an arc in Batman, in a thread that covers Detective Comics, Legends of Dark Knight and Batman? It seems like clutter to you, but I think it is easier to find the thread about the topic you want, rather than going through some general topic. Just because somebody labeled it "The Official..." doesn't mean that all posters have to recognize it as the such. I'm with Stupify on this one. No diresprect to you, but you do seem to be over reacting about the matter of two threads...which more or less, are only partially related in the first place.

Anyways, I thought that making the Man-Bats into ninjas was a pretty campy thing...but not unfathomable in the world of Batman. We are dealing with Talia, and regular ninjas probably wouldn't match up agains Batman. So, she sought to give her men an edge. Man-Bat is an old character in the Batman legacy...so I think it is a cool throwback. I still remember that episode of Batman TAS in which he fought the Man-Bat. I like it when Batman takes on actual super powered beings in his book. They are always strong enough to be a menace to Batman, but never so fantastic that they seem out of place (like when you see Batman fighting Darkseid, although that was a cool if brief, fight).

Normally I would agree that it is nice to see Batman fight super powered people but I have to say that man bat is far to fantasy I mean it's a man bat I just never liked it in the Batman books. I thought the Manbat ninjas were very campy and weird lol I think that was the weak point of the story other than that I like most of it.

Oh, it's the Man-Bats that're campy? Eh, I certainly called it comic book-y, but not really ridiculous enough to be camp. I mean, this is the comics, not BB.

Yeah it is a little campy, but sadly, the campy era seemed to be the most prevalent for Batman. Though originally violent in the old days (we've all seen the Wizard article) it is known that he got campy pretty quick. Just look at all of the od Batman,Robin/Superman team ups. The old 60's show. At least the Man-Bats aren't as campy as that.

I will be glad for the next issue though...that should return things to the more dark tone we are all used to these days. I can't wait for Tim to meet Bruce's other son. You never really think about it in that light you know...about the fact that Dick Grayson is actually Batman's son. An now Tim Drake is too. And they say having kids ruins characters...pfff...I disagree.

I find it completely compy especially for Batman in this day and age.

I don't. I mean, "in this day and age" you have Batman fighting Scarecrow transformed into some kind of monterous "ScareBeast", you have Killer Crock looking more like the Lizard than himself in Hush....yeah, making the Man-Bats ninjas is sorta crazy, but I found it to be a whole lot of fun.

I didn't really find it "fun" I have fun reading a good story and ninja man bats do not equal a good story for me lol.

Try to make it sound bad if you want.

Schindlers list was a great movie I enjoyed it which mean I had fun watching a great movie. I don't do things that I hate just so I can do them.

Nope makes me alot happier I don't enjoy crappy stories
You're happy you spent 3 bucks, and 10, 15 minutes of your time reading a story you think is crappy?

Stupify_me hasn't replied to my post, nor even logged on, in hours. If this continues, my suspicions will be realized; Stupify_me may actually sleep. During twilight hours, no less.

Lol not sure why I even find this funny but for some reason I do.

Oh and yes I sleep from time to time Im weird like that lol. Actually I sleep really late but I didn't reply to you because I had to spend some time with my wife.

Yes I am happier spending the money to read a story and know it's crap than to delude my self in to thinking it was "Fun" just so I can justify spending the money on it. I don't spend three bucks though I have a subscription

I said nothing about deluding yourself. Quality is a subjective issue. If you don't think something is crap, then to you, it isn't.
