Yeah, I know, but this kid does appear to be truly a badass. Could you imagine this kid as Batman one day? He would be a cross between Batman and the Punisher.

So what do people think of this story so far? How many issues will it be?

I think it sucks. And I disagree with everything you said. The kid is a little *****, not a badass. And I hope to God he dies soon.

Thanks for what you did post. The artwork is excellent. The kid though is a little to brattish for my taste. I wonder if this kid will be a new addition to the Batfamily. It would be kind of cool to see Damien progress under Batman's tutelage but the cave is starting to get a little crowded.

I didn't state it as a good thing or a bad thing, just as an observation based on the present nature of this kid. Of course if Batman was to train him over the next 20 years, he could take on the mantle of the Bat better than anyone, including Tim.

As much as I love Grant Morrison, I have to say.... this is the ****test Batman story since Hush Returns. Not only is Bruce's son a pathetic little ****, but he's just a huge can of worms. Ninja Man-Bats are one really stupid idea too. And could Batman be more out of character? Say what you will about pre-IC of Batman, but he'd never allow a killer in his ranks. Regardless of a son or not. If theres any superhero that should have had a kid OYL, its Superman. Or at least have that kid be Bruce and Selina's.

It's about damn time someone capitalized on Son of the Demon which was one of the best stories of its time.

Stop reading Batman if you hate Morrison. He's got over a year worth of material planned and boy am I excited.

I love it, myself. It really feels like a classic Batman story to me, and I've really grown to love the art. Maybe it could use a bit more depth, but I won't judge that until some of Morrison's Joker-centered issues come out.
