Batman: Arkham Knight

Yes. I like it a great deal, and think it's one of the better stories featuring the Riddler in any medium. Riddler sends GCPD a USB stick which seems harmless, but it soon begins a series of countdown timers. People are killed at the end of these countdowns. They are later revealed to be people who helped him set up new deathtrap rooms. The main plot is that Robin is stuck doing these deathtraps while Batman is across the city trying to help find solutions to them. Robin is nearly killed at the end, with Riddler forcing the GCPD to intervene. All in all, a good read.

Glad to hear--I will pick it up.

Yeah Knight has its fair share of glitches, freezing issues and game-breakers. But people seem to be not giving it too much thought because Rocksteady made it.

The worst game breaker I had was a militia guy who spawned in another studio that I could't access from the Christina Bell predator room. Restarted the mission and it fixed the issue.

Pales in comparison to trying to cross the bridge to get to the Firefly Fight in AO. Took me an hour of reattempts and restarting the 360 every single time, which reduced me to tiptoeing to the furthest point to the right of the fight's entry point.

Ok so this isn't about the game specifically but it's still very related to it. Here's a video of both the Arkham origins and and Arkham knight Qurtar inch figures side by side in the new feature video show case called Toy Table from Victor Lucas of EPN.TV below. For those interested

Wait. Can we get back to how ridiculous the Riddler things are? Because I can't really see any iteration of the character chasing them down. Like... Nobody has ever been, "WHERE IS THE RIDDLER TROPHY GRAPHIC NOVEL COLLECTION?!! I must have!!"

The 'problems' with any of these Arkham are pretty limited. They're all top notch Batman experiences and cohesively one of my favorite Bat-worlds out there. Thanks, Rocksteady!

Eh, I'd disagree with that. I'd go so far as to say that Arkham Knight is a pretty average game. The overuse of the tank battles, the vehicular boss battles, the complete loss of good predator rooms and challenge maps, the terrible side missions and film-script finale are all gameplay aspects that are fascinating in how weak they are.

I think as its own thing Arkham Knight's a great game. There are plenty of problems but all games have those. I just think as a sequel or a continuation of the previous Arkham games it's more average. The over reliance on the Batmobile is a lot more annoying in comparison to the previous games that didn't rely on a solitary gimmick as much.

As a stand-alone feature, the Batmobile's not bad, but in comparison to where the series has gone before it's much more clearly overused.

I think one of my many problems with AK is this: I'm a huge Batman fan and I love the game 60%. I think the tank battles and Riddler BS is complete nonsense and devalues the character. More though, as a game, $60 is $60. And when some titles produce more value than their cost (GTA, The Phantom Pain, Skyrim, etc) it's just kind of an insult. Chasing Down Riddler clues is not fun. It is absolutely tedious and something no iteration of the character would ever do.

It's not a movie, it's a game. Games give you things to do.

well i just finished the game. ok so there was that. i can understand the ending and rocksteady wanted it open ended, and i understood the whole needing a new style and myth

but come on if this series is over you dont do that

well, just because Rocksteady is done with the Arkham series doesn't mean that WB Montreal can't take over the series

Which I would very gladly welcome.

Any idea when the Tumbler pack is coming?

I hope soon because I need something new to do with this game.

Yeah - I also bet they use Molossus for the Nolan racetracks.

^ Now remixed with Bale's voice roaring "Rachel!!!" every 20 seconds or every time you do a powerslide - whichever is more immersive.

Is this something to really complain about? It's been a part of the series from the very beginning. Most video games have a collectible element within them. Would Marcus Fenix really search all over a game map to find a COG tag when the Locust are closing in all around him? Would CJ in GTA San Andreas really comb the city for Horseshoes and Oysters?

Predator room for Robin. Will he have his explosive gel I wonder.

I don't think I'll bother with any more dlc for this game, The only dlc I've bought was the 1989 pack and rest of the items aren't getting a whole lot of praise to make me want to get more and especially not the season pass.

I still like and play the game sometimes but much of my excitement has died down and am pretty much over it. I'm only keeping it longer because I got it digitally

It's a bit annoying. We're half way through September already, and we're supposed to get a Nightwing DLC and the TDK Batmobile pack for this month. One of them should be due out any day now.
