Even hallucinations would have made more sense. Especially with Scarecrow being the main villain. I would have loved the Arkham Knight being a manifestation of being Batman's fear, what he'd be like if he'd ever go over the edge. No, instead it's more Joker than ever before.

Actually, I was just thinking: the hallucinations could have been use differently and a bit more creatively with a bigger helping of interactivity. Since Jason seems so underdeveloped in the tiny fraction of time we see him in flashbacks, imagine if instead you had some free-roaming mission with Tim or Dick, and halfway through, the scare gas starts affecting your environment, Batman gets overwhelmed, and when a Robin comes to save you...suddenly you're seeing Jason. Then you play an entire segment of the game with Jason in place of your actual all, occaisionally breaking back into reality. So his character gets fleshed out (maybe you even have a side quest against Two-Face to establish that antagonism and the fear part comes in with you slowly seeing his fate effect his appearance more and more until finally you have to watch the tortures.

And maybe to give you some better smokescreen for the reveal, you have a similar level with Babs leading up to the Killing Joke (maybe just a hallucination, but maybe they could have thrown in one of the other female Bat Characters like Huntress, Black Bat or Spoiler, or used Catwoman) and maybe a brief reunion level with Dick where the fear comes in your fear of losing him and he fights back to break you out of the illusion.

Really, there's all sorts of way they could have enhanced the fear toxin segments beyond just the Joker. And imagine his smart-alec comments and mind games while all the above plays out too.

Oh, and AK really should have captured Tim himself. That would have been a nice payoff for the Joker torture scenes. And maybe after the Predator room with AK, you have to do a dual play level with Nightwing against AK and Deathstroke.

I guess there's a glitch though? I figured it was just there if you look hard enough at the right angle, I know some other skins have that too.

I can't use the Batmobile in story mode. It's just in the challenges.

Okay, just did a bit of reading. Apparently you can use it in story mode, but only AFTER all the drones in Gotham have been destroyed by the regular Batmobile, since the '89 one doesn't have a battle mode.

Does the rear hatch open up to transport villains?

No idea... I suspect not, though. You're probably only allowed to do it after the drones are gone, AND after there's no more villain transports required... so when you've finished the story and are just free roaming, I guess. I don't know though, I'm only up to the part where Ivy's plant has burst out of the ground.
