My writing this is an almost absurdity because of the fact that once a film is released in theaters, and more importantly DVD it's almost impossible to change the title of the film. But let's face it, now that titles such as "The Dark Knight" are emerging, and possibly "Shadows of the Bat" for the future, it becomes strange to hear "Batman Begins" mixed in with those. It's almost as if it should have it's own title. Like "Legends of the Bat" or something.
But think with me for a moment, let's face it, when the title of Batman Begins was first presented most of us thought it to be brilliant, because we were so used to film titles such as "Batman Returns" and "Batman Forever". Something with an adjective (or an act of being) after "Batman". But this is a brand new series, was starting over with the same titling style really a good idea? Especially now that Nolan has branched out in his ideas of titling?
Is it so unreal that now, after three years of Batman Begins being in stores, that Christopher Nolan change the title to something that sounds better? This could be a first. The first film (that we know of) to change it's titling after not only being in theaters, but after being on DVD for 3 years!
It may seem far fetched, but this is something I wouldn't mind seeing in the future. I'm not really pushing for it, but I'm not really against it either.
