I actually like the noir adaptation of every character, Batman is one of the few superheroes who would work extremely well in a noir universe. You just need to get some people to draw concepts of a few characters, or something like that.

This definately has potential.

gracias, much appreciated

To anyone who gives a s**t about this,

I know there hasnt been much to start with, but it seems we might get a little push over the weekend in terms of getting art for Issue #1. I encourage you to spread the word and hopefully, we'll get more support for this. Because thats how I work: no feedback, no reason to go on. Thanks.

I've got to say, I kind of like where this is going, I like "noir" style and "what if" type of comics and novels.

If you are up to suggestions..... I really like the Batman concept that you have, may I possibly suggest that the cowl possibly be more rugged, homemade looking. I dig the whole rugged trench coat type cape, so just personal opinion, I think a more rugged homemade style cowl may help complete the look.

I've got a very good friend of which I have known for years, He was working on a couple of books/graphic novels and he had me do some of his concept art as well. When I have time maybe i'll post up some pictures of some of my art work.

again, very interesting.

1) Thanks

2) It's mainly not up to me per say on changing the concept alone, but I like that idea

3) The setting isn't mainly set on Noir. If you took Noir, WWII, and Batman and added a little Sin City and Public Enemies (beautiful way of saying that on the last page), that's what you'd see in this. The story, origin, motives, morals, all of it will be brought to a new level of Batman that some might lovely some that might say "This is more like something I read a long time ago" but to me this vision of the WWII/Noir Batman will always remain to me(and hopefully everyone who sticks with me on this project) as a new Batman that will take the old generation attitudes and ultimately bring them to a modern generation that can see not only a new Dark Knight, but also get the feel of what it was like back in that period of time. What better way than Batman? Some people must understand that if you want to know more about history, space, time, and the possibility of other dimensions, they must show first that they are willing to do it in anyway ossicle. Think of it as a history book with pictures and emotion, as if you were watching a movie. Media captures the attention of the average human being more than anything I can imagine. Batman brings technology to inspirational ways if you read more into it. You can adapt more to an idea if you divide the idea into parts and expands parts gradually over the years. Comics do that or at least try to. Realism can also follow it wherever we may go and Batman is a hero without superpowers, he can feel just as we do. That's why hes an interesting character: he can take an average life and expand it in a fantastical story that involves good and evil, love and hate. Shakespeare could take those and put them into words that rhyme. If he could do that, why not us. Why not comics? Why not Batman, the average hero? The whole point of this is to try to expand the WWII era a little further through creativity. You may look at these characters and say "That does remind me of someone I heard of" or "Wow, that's interesting I never saw that coming or knew this existed or was possible". Anything is possible to expand a world of history into a history book itself. Just because it doesn't always put it in words doesn't mean it's not important. That's what this is for, to show everyone in the world how much information one story can take. You can make knowledge out of anything. You just need to know what that symbol will be. I chose a relatable character so people can see it a little clearer. Bob Kane has created this symbol that has become more than just a sketch, more than a comic, more than a childhood idol. He created an infinite book of knowledge. All I'm doing is writing a chapter.

Also, this comic is being divided into 3 parts:

I Am Vengeance: Batman focuses more on the murderer of his parents rather than worry about the rest of Gotham

I Am The Night: Batman discovers who the murderer is, decides that no one deserves to go through what he did, and moves towards the "Dark Knight" guardian of Gotham which will tie in deeper stories of the characters, not just Batman

I Am Batman: Graphic novel that will come WAAAAAAAAAY later

I like this idea man. If I can find some free time between my work, internship and personal projects I might dust off the Wacom Tablet and whip up some character concepts. Can't make any promises though.

The Mask: A reboot to the Dark Horse Comics

Coming Soon...

You do your best writing when you're writing for yourself. I'll give it a look.

Alright guys, sorry for the wait, I'll upload my concept art today. Hope you like. If I can't get a scanner I hope a picture will hold you guys over.

I really like the style you've set apart from Meddle's Batman, it shows how 2 artists like yourselves can produce what a certain character can look like without having me draw it myself. I honestly didn't see either of these versions in my head, but now I'm glad I have both of you on board to do this. Excellent job

Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoy both of our work. I liked Mister Meddle's original drawing. I liked the Batman by Gaslamp feel he had to (mostly the trench coat) so I stole that. I had the idea that while Bruce was in WWII he looted a compound that had a Nazi experimental uniform intended for officers on the battlefield. It would provide extra protection that a normal soldier's fatigues wouldn't provide.
I'll pump some more out soon.

That is a great idea. We may put that into play when the story delves into a deeperpart for Victor Fries
