Batman Elimination Game Suggestion Box

So will that be the round? What will be the next round? Been a while since we have been stomped on next round decisions, Mister J.

You have those other lists in the thread we haven't done yet, you know. I like the game idea sort of just I'm afraid it is obvious what top 3 it will come down to; I dunno.

So what will it be?

Have we done that yet?:D

Batman crossover/team-ups

Batman/Spiderman
Batman/Captain America
Batman/Judge Dredd
Batman/Daredevil
Batman/Deathblow
Batman/Punisher
Batman/Spawn
Batman/The Darkness
Batman/Green Arrow
Batman/Phantom Stranger

Those are all from graphic novels. If you choose to use The Brave and The Bold, the possibilities are pretty much endless.

They're not all bad.

When you said Crossovers I thought you meant like Prodigal Son, KNightquest, Fugitive, ect.

Let's do games. I'll follow that up with an Elimination Round. Both will probably be short, but that'll provide time to fill out some of the other choices.

If games is cool, I'll start it up later tonight. Alternatively, if you guys want another choice, banter away and I'll start that one. The hammer comes down tonight and the natural Games order shall return. It would return sooner, but I gotta run. I'm giving the keynote address at the annual meeting for The Order of Smiling Psychotics. Damn politics. :joker:

Doesn't matter to me. As long as we continue to come up with better choices in this suggestion box (while playing the new round) I will be happy.

It seems like a fair amount of work to narrow down choices for particular elimination game topics. Another option would be to include everything ie if there are (hypothetically) 46 graphic novels, rather than choose the best 10, do four or five seeded rounds including all choices and put the top 2 forward to a final. That way you get more rounds per topic and less work beforehand. Get the voters to do the work for you. :yay:

Anyway good work to everyone contributing

We needa come up with the next round, guys. It normally doesn't take this long for the next round to pop up. :(

Also, Mister J, the first post needs editting because it doesn't have the 19th and 20th round on it. :P

The delay is my fault. I had meant to complete a list of One Shots and Elseworlds/Out of Continuity Stories earlier this week and no dice. Unless the heavens part and other inspiration strikes,I'll go with what I had said last and just another Past Eliminations round like Round 15.

One way or another ...tonight, we vote! :marv:

Hellstormer and Fledermaus, thanx for doing my work for me ...err, umm I meant coming up with the choices (which were way more than the few I had scribbled down). We can get at least 2 rounds out of that. I'm tempted to randomly split them up and do both. If there's a better way to select than random chaos, chime in.

You know perfectly well that Dancing Night is on Tuesday.

If you can't contain yourself, feel free to start a conga line. I'm staying out of this one and won't be held responsible for what takes place afterwards.

I know. :csad:

Wait, it's Tuesday night tonight :wow: :word:

What about a Bruce Wayne biggest love game, or whatever it should be named.

Silver StCloud
Vicki Vale
Julie Madison
-the girl who recently turned into an Omac-
And countless others, I have no idea what their names are.

Round 10 was kinda like that, though it included pretty much all notable women in the Batman universe. Otherwise, I think it'd turn into a Catwoman runaway.

I came up with some ideas (some of which are admittedly wacky). All are open to suggestions/retractions/inquisitions, whatever. Send the hate mail to the usual address.

Most Seminal/Significant Batman Moment (The murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne would obviously be excluded)

Bane breaking his back
His falling out withDick Grayson
The death of Jason Todd
Discovering he had been mindwiped by fellow JLA members
Losing Gordon's trust (as a result of Azrael's handling of the mantle of the Bat)
Revealing his identity to Catwoman
The Joker crippling Barbara Gordon
Being framed for the murder of Vesper Fairchild
Discovering that Jason Todd is alive
Trying to preserve Gotham during No Man's Land
Talia's revelation of Damien

Biggest Contribution to the Batman Mythos (minus Kane and Finger, of course)
Jerry Robinson
Julius Schwartz
Denny O'Neill
Frank Miller
Kevin Conroy
Jeph Loeb
Bruce Timm/Paul Dini collaboration
Adam West
Michael Keaton
Christian Bale

Best Bat Family Story
Huntress: Cry For Blood
Birds of Prey: Sensei & Student
Batgirl: Year One
Batgirl: Silent Running
Robin/Batgirl: Fresh Blood
Robin: Year One
Robin: A Hero Reborn
Robin: Flying Solo
Nightwing: Year One
Nightwing: A Knight in Bludhaven
Nightwing/Huntress
Catwoman: When In Rome
Catwoman: Selina's Big Score

Best Notable Batman Quote (inclusive of all universes)
"Ladies. Gentlemen, You have eaten well. You have eaten Gotham's wealth. Its spirit. Your feast is nearly over. From this moment on...none of you are safe."
"I believe in Gotham City"
"Criminals are a superstitious, cowardly lot, so my disguise must be able to strike terror into their hearts. I must be a creature of the night; black...terrible...."
"Quiet!, or papa spank!"
" I'm not going to kill you. I want you to do me a favor. I want you to tell all your friends about me. (What are you?!) ...I'm Batman"
"People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy and I can't do that as Bruce Wayne. As a man, I'm flesh and blood; I can be ignored, I can be destroyed. But as a symbol ...as a symbol, I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting."
"I am vengeance! I am the night! I am BATMAN!"
"What, are you dense? Are you ******ed or something? Who the hell you think I am? I'm the goddamn Batman!"
"Tell everyone. All the punks, junkies, gunsels, enforcers... all the wise guys, leg-breakers, muscle boys... tell them they're finished. Tell them the streets belong to the Batman."
"Father... I'm afraid I may have to die tonight."
"You have a choice. You can crawl -- on your bellies -- and plead for her forgiveness. That's the first choice. The second is -- I hurt you. Choose one. Choose the second."
"Without warning it comes... crashing through the window of your study... and mine... I have seen it before... somewhere ...it frightened me... as a boy... frightened me... yes, Father. I shall become a bat."
"You can never escape me. Bullets don't harm me. Nothing harms me. But I know pain. I know pain. Sometimes I share it. With someone like you."
"I've been thinking lately; about you and me. About what's going to happen to us in the end. We're going to kill each other aren't we? Perhaps you'll kill me. Perhaps I'll kill you. Perhaps sooner. Perhaps later. I just wanted to know that I made a genuine attempt to talk things over and avert that outcome. Just once. Are you listening to me? It's life and death that I'm discussing here. Maybe my death, maybe yours. I don't fully understand why ours should be a such a fatal relationship, but I don't want your murder of my hands."
Swear to ME!
