One of my favourite DC Elseworlds stories.

Batman animated film #1032! :awesome:

I'm not mad about it.

I think it's clear that Batman has more movie-ready stories than anyone else in DC, so this shouldn't come as a surprise.

Bring on more Batman animated movies I say, can never have too much Batman..

They better do Kingdom Come and Red Son at some point.

Yawn! Another Batman film... Not interested. Hopefully the other two are a JL and TT film that doesn't involve him!

Yeah, that's it.

Weren't they making The Long Halloween?

I'm always up for Elseworlds especially the original ones they did in the Tucker era.
Hopefully, it's not as awkward as Killing Joke as far as any original content they might add.

Agreed. After that first watch I've always skipped the prologue they added to TKJ and gone straight to Babs returning from her run.

I'd rather they start doing some stories for other league members at this point. A WW story, a Flash/GL teamup, a Aquaman one etc.

Havent read Gotham by Gaslight yet. Will check it out. But I hoped they would do Red son, if they wanna do elseworlds.

OOOOOoooooooohhhhhh, Mike Mignola art done as a film. I'm genuinely excited.

Honestly I'm happy with this as a choice even though it's another Batman film.

But there are other ways to use the character and it's like the DC animation don't understand that. I'm not talking about this story in particular but take the Killing Joke. Instead of padding it out with content that was terrible why not do it as double Bull with an adaptation for Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? Or something.

They could also use Batman to team up with other heroes on adventures instead of churning out crap like Batman vs Robin etc.

I get why they use Batman he's a sure thing but for me as a fan and I know many others it's become really boring. They're over saturating the character and eventually the bubble will burst.

We need more Superman stories. I agree with that.

Red Son, Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow, Kingdom Come, Secret Origin, For the Man Who Has Everything, Man of Steel, maybe a proper Death and Return of Superman...

Crisis on Infinite Earths would be another amazing one. That'll happen sooner or later.

I want a Blackest Night movie too.

I get that there are other DC heroes that deserve movies, but I'm not gonna get mad about a Batman movie. He's my favorite superhero, you can never have too much Batman.

That's exactly what they did and continue to do. I'm not even expecting him to play a substantive role in that Harley movie.

Remember, Jennifer Carpenter supposedly revealed she will be voicing Catwoman in this adaptation. Therefore, we know they are expanding on the story quite a bit. It'll be interesting to see if they can pull it off (This was due for the 20 minute DC Showcase shorts treatment - might it have worked better there?).

Who knows, perhaps they are sending Jason O Mara's Batman to an alternate timeline and it is still an in continuity tale?

Looking forward to the sneak peek.

I'm talking about teaming him with different characters not just Batman world ones! Have him have adventures with Aquaman, the Flash etc

It'll probably be released as Batman: Crisis on Infinite Earths :cwink:

Or maybe even Straczynski's Brave and the Bold story Ladies Night which ties directly into TKJ.

You know who would be a fun Gotham by gaslight batman? Pierce Brosnan
