He sounds generally the same as he does when he does "Bruce Wayne" in most of the other stuff I've seen him in - his "Batman" is only an octave or two lower.

It funny, but the first time I saw that on HBO before it came out in theater, I didn't know Hamill did the voice of Joker. I always thought it was just some random voice actor. Seeing him doing the voice for the first time was a big shock to me. It made me say "What the....?!? Luke Skywalker is now the Joker??".

It's pretty amazing, the impact his work has had on the character and the fanbase.

I'm a huge Star Wars geek, but I think that, if I ever met Mark (which I hope to one day!) I would actually have to ask him to sign a Joker piece over a SW piece. And I bet he'd welcome that too, heh.
