Batman Stop Motion

I'm not going to lie, but I never watched the second one. I just didn't really get the humor of the first one.

There are a few things that I was confused, or just didn't like that much:

-Why are animals and Batman interacting with each other. I don't get it.

-You need to get a tripod, or keep the camera steady, cause when your stop-motion starts, the camera gets extremely shaky, and it's hard to focus on what's going on.

-You don't need to do stop-motion on everything. Having Batman jump off stuff, or a Batmobile that can actually roll on the ground, could just be filmed regularly.

-You have great sound effects, so why don't you just add voices to the character? I don't really like reading everything, when you seem to have the ability to add voices, but you just didn't. Work on character voices, and give a different voice for different characters. Maybe get some friends to help out. ;)

-Make more convincing "set pieces". It's hard to imagine what's on screen, when your bar is a CD, drinks are chocolate, a skyscraper is a staircase, and you can clearly see your house in the movie. It feels like I'm actually playing with toys, when it should feel like I'm watching a movie with goofy toys in it. You see the difference?

It's not bad, I just don't get it, I guess. Not trying to be rude, but those were the things that stood out the most. ;)

okay, well that was actually the second that you watched.

now the episodes aren't meant to be too realistic... so the animals thing is simply some jokey, silliness, which maybe some people disagree with, or not like which I can understand. It's not for everyone, I guess. try to think of it like this... if watching Monty Python, one could point out many unrealistic "mistakes", but are they really mistakes, or could they have been intentionally included for humor?

As for the tripod, I agree, and I now have one and am currently using it on the third episode.

I don't really agree with you on merging video though. a lot of the car shots wouldn't be possible, as hands would get in the way in most angles, and they just wouldn't flow the same. Likewise with the batman jumps (apart from the hands part), and also he wouldn't land on his feet...

The voices could be done, but I'm still thinking about it... it leaves the imagination to the viewer when reading subtitles, but the voices may still be a better option. It's subjective I think.

I agree with you on the set pieces and that will be improved on as the episodes go on, however these stop motions aren't meant to be super realistic, and this is a minor thing in the big picture.

These stop motions are quite unique compared to others on youtube. they have unusual plots, weird humor, and strange incidents. they are quite different, so I can understand if they draw a small audience, or if they are disliked by some. They're not compromised for the masses.

But thanks for your opinion, anyway.

hey, however, its a good jokey show. much work i think to get this on cam....
try next time with photos from movies or own fantasy as background... so it seems more movielike...

nice! :)

thanks. i was thinking of putting the scene in batman forever (in which you see the riddler's signal above the bat signal) at the start of my next one, considering that the main character of the episode is the riddler, what do you reckon?. I think the 3rd episode will be far more favored than the 2nd, as it returns to a similar sort of theme as the 1st but is longer, and better looking.

make a night look with pocketlights and posters from dirty streets as background... :)

you understand doing video-cutting programms? i think so. Now you`ll play your movie in front of a selfmade greenscreen! then you take some pics from google or out of some movies and copy them into your movie. then it looks like if you`re really in this street... for example here:

i combined now only three pics from google pics. you make your fotos in front of the greenscreen or whitescreen (to cut it easier from the background...) then you take one of the background pics..for example the street here... and then you copy the cutted figures in this picture.. in the size that you want. And you need the light of the pocket-lighter (or flashlight or torch) to make the figures seem to belong into this szene. You see the lights at the walls? take at the fotoshooting the pocketlight and light from the same direction as the lamp in the picture...

you will not believe how cool this will look!!!!! I would do so for myself, but i dont have the lego figures...
