I'm loving the new suit but prefer MOS. It just seems the piping and oval belt buckle seemed more alien to me. Can't wait for good shots of Batfleck!

I believe that is the point though, to look less alien. Those rectangular lines and buckle are completely different from curved lines and oval buckle of Krypton's aesthetics. The thing is, Clark wore his family's suit in MOS, but since he's raised on earth he isn't an alien like other Kryptonians in MOS were and it might be that with this suit they want to make him look equally human and alien, or as Jor-El would say to be "a bridge between two races".

Or maybe I'm analyzing this way too much.

Bale looked terrible in his suit in TDKRs final fight in my opinion, though that suit was, in my opinion, terrible to start with. But still, purpose of looking like a creature of the night, a beast, will surely be lost in daylight... I just hope he won't look silly standing in that suit with sun above his head.

You're probably right but since Snyder has made a point to have as much as is possible make sense in a CBM, or give explanations...I'd like to know how the change happened. I mean, the suit came fully ready. Some have said it's nanotech and if so, I suppose the suit could morph on its own. I'm nitpicking but I'd actually love an explanation.

As long as it's short and written well into the story, I wouldn't mind explanation, but I must say that I wasn't really a fan of Nolans approach of explaining every single thing in TDK trilogy, sometimes it can become somewhat tedious and distract from the story.

Well, this is a world where Batman coexists with a flying humanoid alien; so I'm not worried. Wilkinson's costume is also world's better than Lindy Hemming's TDKR design.

Well I was talking purely from a visual standpoint, his bestial look may seem a bit "off" and silly in the daylight when every little detail of his angry-looking cowl and his suit can be seen. I certainly hope it won't be the case though and am curious to see this batsuit in the daytime, though it probably won't happen in this movie, but in Justice League.

You have a point there, I also love all about that contrast between the two characters, both in their personalities and visually.

But the thing is, in comics they can fake the light and make both suits to be clearly visible to depict the iconic contradiction that we all know and love anytime, while still not taking away any element crucial to the best depiction of the characters in that moment, but in movie it'll be hard to see both suits in their glory at the same time if the light somehow doesn't to justice to both of them. While Batman logically looks in element at night Superman doesn't and vice versa.

It'll be interesting to see how they'll handle it.

and I think it's been pointed out, but the thigh piping seems to be either greatly reduced or removed all together. WAHOO!!

Not reduced but made to be very much closer to the same color as the suit this time t: I need to say that I really love it but didn't mind the MOS piping at all.

I follow you. I'm just saying that he probably wouldn't look as silly next to an amazon or an alien in strange-looking garb. I do agree that the fear-inducing aspect of the costume might be lost in daytime sightings, though.

Certainly they would design the suit to look decent in the daytime. It would be odd if they didn't plan for the obvious because Superman and the Justice League aren't all nightime crime fighters.

Okay, so the new suit looks a lot better from the front than it does from the side. I prefer the MOS suit by a country mile, this one looks more like a toy, but they fixed the abs at least.

I'm not a fan of the more pronounced muscles in the new suit. While the comparison pic a few posts above mine shows it's pretty much identical, I feel the light blue used to make them pop is just too much for my liking.

If they used the same approach as MOS, which I'm almost certain they did, it isn't actually a differnt color. The muscle suit underneath is "chrome", so lighting, angles, etc. make it drastically different. I think it will be quite similar to MOS, maybe a touch brighter which is awesome.
