Batman v. Wolverine...

At first I was gonna say Wolverine would win, hands down, but when I thought about it I'm not so sure. All Wolverine has to do is land one good strike on Batman, but Bats has a variety of ways to stop him in his utillity belt, I.E. Gas (still works on Wolverine right?), naplam and electricity (enough of those electric batarangs will fry Wolvie for a short time.) For it to come to that though, Batman would have to know about Wolvie's mutant healing ability....and....you know what? I just don't know who would win.


But Jackman will kick Bale's evil ass in the movie.

Wolverine...mutant, healing factor, amazing fighter from years of extensive training, adamantium claws, highly intellegent and strategic. and i gotta believe that wovlie is faster than bats.

wolverine comes at batman...worlverine has been riddled with bullets from about 5 guys with machine guns all at once and still kept coming, ripped them all apart. gas or anything from a utility belt aint gonna do much. batman reaches from something from his belt, wolverine cuts his belt (or hand...whatever) off and stabs him in the chest....batman is done.
and if batman managed to bring up something to knock him out the first time...wolverine would just come back at him eventually, you can't really kill the guy unless you are superhuman. batman is dead meat eventually...especially if ambushed with no prep-time.

"he's friggen batman"...give me a break. wolverine is a trained manipulated superhuman killing machine. since rebirth as Logan from the Weapon X project he's been born to kill and he's only gotten better since than. and you factor in Wolverine's berserk rage...i doubt even napalm would stop him from coming, he doesn't really feel much at that point, he just kills you.


Wolverine...hands down...you batfans really have to be kidding yourselves here if you think batman wins.

Batman knows when hecan't win and he would flee and then come back with something to take wolverine down for good and without killing him.

this is the movie forum, so these are the movie versions of the characters. i don't know if anyone's noticed, but everytime wolverine fights somebody other than drunken barfighters or inept soldiers, he gets his ass handed to him. movie bats (bale in this case as he's the current one) would beat the hell out of movie wolverine.

comic wolverine on the other hand, would probably win.

Drug Rogue , capture wolverine with a giant magnet and then tie him up with Rogue's nude body.
Rogue gets WOlverine's powers ( temporarily) and Wolverine dies.
Afterwards , Bats waits a few more minutes for Rogue to become powerless again and then orders a sniper to take her out.
End of story.

But .... if we are all honest deep down we know Logan would take this. He is the ultimate killer ... Weapon X.

Wolverine has been close to killing the Hulk several times and is just about unbeatable in a one on one contest.

It's a simple case of brains versus brawn. Batman keeps detailed files and takes precautionary measures even against his own allies and one would be stupid to think he would get into a fight with Wolverine (who is pound for pound superior to him as well as increasingly more lethal in both fighting prowes and resilient toughness). With that said, Wolverine is not untouchable - there are plenty of times other villains and heroes have gotten the best of him and Bats is sure to have taken notes on that. Batman has a habit of uncovering his foes weaknesses and unfairly exploiting them.

Wolverine is like a grunt, a soldier while Batman is more of a strategist or a general if you prefer. He could easily devise a way of taking down the mutant without even directly participating in the duel.

Trap Wolvie in a super-magnetic field that will rip all the adamantium out of his bones (just like what Magneto did) and then drop a 20 ton container on him while he's immobile. Problem solved.

Realistically speaking though, right, Batman doesn't have a chance. But taking into account as they're both fictional entities, Batman is infinitely more intriguing as a character than Wolverine (with an incomparably superior rogues gallery to boot). That's exactly what makes him so badass and arguably the greatest comic book character ever created. Strength and superpowers mean **** when you aren't even real.
