I assume this threads existence, is the result of one jazzed up teenagers recent viewing of 300.

Leonidas is a 2500 year old rotting corpse. Batman would have to be an awfully big ***** to not be able to kick his ass.

Depends. Movie Bats would get his ass handed to him. Comic Bats is a different story. Granted Leonidas probably would put up quiet a fight, and could possibly win it, but he is far more evenly matched to comic Bats.

Batman doesn't kill, so there would be no "fight to the death".

Consider it the death of Leonidas' honor or whatever instead. What matters is that Batman would easily overpower leonidas, and heck, all of his spartan warriors because he's batman.

I doubt Leonidas, historically, was that strong. I could possibly have overpowered him back in the day since none of them had the benefit of weight training.

am I seriously the only one who thinks this is ridiculously random?

Just because you don't have weight training doesn't mean your not strong. I doubt that his extensive training and use of an iron ( or bronze or whatever they had back then ) sword and shield wouldn't have made him as strong, if not stronger, then you.

I doubt it. You'd have no need to lift something 200lbs, 300lbs or more. You just wouldn't. Even swords back then, as heavy as they were, weren't so heavy it would take someone with great strength (by today's standards) to lift them. Also extensive exercise, all the time, 24/7 DOES NOT build muscle mass, specifically fast twitch (which is used for great feats of strength at maximum effort). They would have been cut and lean, but their diet would in no way support becoming big, or quiet frankly, strong. Take into account the fact that Abraham Lincoln, our former President, was considered IMMENSELY strong for his day and age, as was Teddy Roosevelt. Do those people strike you are incredibly huge or stronger than me:huh: I wouldn't say so.

Bane has a weakness though. You cut off the venom or hit that button too hard and he's screwed. Leonidas is just...well...unstoppable (so to speak). I'll give this to Batman though. Hell, I think Ra's can beat Leonidas.

Hey you were wrong to begin with, weight training did exist in Ancient Greece.
