I haven't seen the Batman vs Robin animated movie but I understand it features at least some of the Court of Owls storyline. For those who've seen BvR, how much of CoO did it use - was it to the extent that it's unlikely we'll get a full-blown CoO adaptation? Also, like many I ******* loathe Damian. How annoying was he in this? I realise that's subjective! :funny:

It was a pretty solid adaptation, of the source material, with the themes running through the story they really wanted to tell, but it's not a direct re-telling of the graphic novel and like you I loathe Damien and yes he's irritating in BvR but the character is naturally annoying, given he's a child.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of DC's animations and I own a lot of them - but I've tended to stay away from the New 52 Batman adaptations that feature Damian. I might be tempted to give this one a go.

It's a solid effort, not on the level of some of the animated films but a decent 7/10.

It's more of a Robin and Talon story. It's a tried and true tale about a sidekick of Batman has to choose between him and a path of evil. There's this one Talon who's trying to recruit Robin and that's the main plot to eventually Batman & Robin coming to blows. Damian's attitude here did seem to fit the adaptation.

You still get the flashback to Bruce's past. Bruce still eventually gets captured and has to be rescued. They all eventually have to fend off the army of Talons.

Also, I thought that Talon was probably the best villain this universe of films has had so far.

Will I need to have seen any of the earlier New 52 Batman adaptations to understand anything? As I said, I've stayed away from the Damian stuff so far.

No. Not for this one.
