Yes, it does sound similar to that whopping four seconds of a piece from Schubert. There are many, many songs that you can just pull a couple of seconds from and say that they sound similar (i.e. John Mellencamp's "Hurts so good" and Michael Jackson's "Black or white"), but in most cases, it's nothing more than coincidence. I don't see how or why it warrants a topic made about it.
The short version: I agree with the previously stated :facepalm

The rest doesn't sound like it at all, nor is it even in the same emotional vein.

And the fact is that the BB/TDK theme is simply a minor third played in a crescendo, there's nothing super-special about the order of said notes. You can find them....everywhere. :o
