I highly doubt that it's the kind of thing where Matt and Ben were just twiddling their thumbs, waiting for the Yankees to win so they could do the movie.

They've got a lot of irons in the fire, both in front and behind the camera. Not to mention the studio has to get its ducks in a row. Besides, by the time the project goes through preproduction, filming, and post, we will have gone through a whole new season, with new champs, and be into the 2011 season.
