What has this to do with the B/S movie?

I like this I am curious who will play Bruce Wayne

Dude played the voice of Batman in the "Batman: Year One" animated movie and now he's playing a young Jim Gordon in the "Gotham" tv show. Coincidence?

Anyways I haven't followed his work to give an opinion, but Oldman set the bar high, imho.

Can't wait to see who they get to play gordon in the movie.

Pulling for Cranston obviously, and could see it happening as he has ties to WB and Affleck. Not to mention the fact that he's voiced the character before.

I would be good with Cranston as Gordon in the movie. We know Alfred is in. It stands to reason Gordon would be as well.

I do think he'll be in it, too... but, not sure I follow the logic that because Alfred is in it, he will be too?

Really like Ben Mckenzie for Gordon in the Gotham show. My interest just definitely peaked.

ya, I had him in mind for the role, but, since he did that other cop show (Southland) thought that it might be kinda type casting

My logic is as follows.........Since Alfred is in the film it means they are featuring some of Batman's world and supporting characters. Because of this I can logically assume that Jim Gordon could also be featured.

Doesn't matter who Gordon is. Fox will cancel it within 2 seasons. I give it 3 tops.

I still think this is going to be the boringest thing without BATMAN...and the characters will be like their comics counterparts in name only. Yawn. Count me out of this snoozefest. I'd much rather see a new Batman TV show - how awesome would that be? You know wb/cw/DC would love to do it...we don't really need another grim n gritty cop drama (or another cop drama in general). Zzzzzzz.

This will be DC's version of agents of S.N.O.R.E.

Anyway congrats to Ben on the part though. He's a good actor. Hope he does well.

Actually, I don't think DC/WB would love to do it at all and that's precisely why we're getting this show instead. They'll save significant money on the budget this way, and I think WB is adamant about keeping Batman off the small screen, as to not dilute his value as a cinematic property.

Really the only way to do a Batman show properly would be to send it to HBO (Time Warner owned) and make it a one hour drama. But once you start making cinematic-level TV Batman, it leaves the actual movies in a funny place.

Oh, that's why I recognise his name. Never seen him in anything else as far as I know, but he was pretty wooden in Year One.

I don't know this guy's work at all (never watched The OC or Southland) but I've heard Southland is really good. I do hope that Donal Logue-as-Bullock rumor is true though. That is such perfect casting it's nuts.

Maybe Brian Cranston will play Batman in the TV show :woot:

I think it's good casting. Give him a dustbroom mustache and he'll be a great young Gordon.
