As the thread title says, what was the best MCU 2022 movie for you? I think this will be an interesting one as there were a lot of varying opinions on all of the MCU movies this year.

My vote goes to Multiverse of Madness

Interesting that L&T has no votes. Though I found it the worst of the 3 by some way.

Wakanda Forever edges out Multiverse of Madness for me.

Interesting that L&T has no votes. Though I found it the worst of the 3 by some way.
IMO it's the worst of the three by default but it's not without its charm. It has some fun stuff going on in it and Christian Bale is great although underused.

Those scenes with the GnR songs were dope - I only rewatch those scenes

Ranking these movies is not as easy as it may sound, and yes I know MoM was divisive and LaT was mostly hated on by the internet, but I guess my standards are pretty low as I love the former and enjoy the latter a lot, and I found WF to be beautiful and moving. And I love how different they feel even if you can tell it's the Marvel sandbox they are set in.

So we have three wildly different movies tackling different tones and sub-genres within the confines of superhero stories, two of which had a lot of problems during production. We go from the spooky, horror-lite Doctor Strange to the Rom-com Thor to the somber, serious Black Panther and you can clearly see the hands of Raimi, Waititi and Coogler bringing different styles and moods into the classic Marvel template, which I agree some people appreciate and some don't. You may love Raimi's style and hate Waititi's and viceversa and that ultimately shapes your judgement of the movies.

I think, coming from a place of genuinely loving these characters from the comics, I'm just happy to see Scarlet Witch, Mighty Thor, Gorr, Namor (I think all three movies nailed the villains!) etc on the big screen, while continuing the arcs of the main characters in cool and sometimes unexpected ways. I know Phase 4 has been rough for a lot of MCU fans while haters have been feasting since Eternals got its Rotten rating, but I just loved it all. So my ranking at the moment is

Multiverse of Madness
Wakanda Forever (pending a rewatch)
Love and Thunder

Wakanda Forever is the best, but Multiverse of Madness may remain my favorite despite its flaws.

Love and Thunder was fun - and the best Thor movie so far. But I'm still not that into the Thor movies, and it was certainly the most flawed of the three films.

There are four Thor movies.

Love and Thunder is the 2nd worst Thor movie for me.

It definitely didn't get enough Love and Thunder from the voters.

While I personally think that WF is a better movie...(Love and Thunder 2nd)....but for the sake of it, I decide to give them my vote and the first vote :D

Don't know if it qualifies as a movie but , for me , Werewolf By Night

If it doesn't count , then it's Multiverse Of Madness followed by Wakanda Forever.

I didn't see Thor : Love And Thunder.

Marvel Studios labeled it as a special presentation, similar to Marvel Studios' Special Presentation: The Guardians of the GalaXy Holiday Special.

Even though it's not a film , Werewolf By Night is my favorite 2022 Marvel Studios release .

It'd probably be followed by The GOTG XMas special as my second favorite release in general.

I vastly prefer both of them to the film releases frankly.

I really wasn't overly impressed with either MOM or BP: WF , though both had their interesting moments.

So, in terms of ranking the Marvel Studios films of 2022, for me it would be
1) MOM
2) BP:WF

Again, I didn't see Love And Thunder so I can't rank it.

Doctor Strange into the multiverse of madness was a great time! Sam Raimi did a terrific job! I love this film in every universe!

Multiverse of Madness is one of the best and most entertaining movies, and I'll die on that hill. I loved all the Sam Raimi goodness!

Really can't disagree. Loved seeing that Raimi style in the big screen again. And the movie was damn fun.

Maybe Multiverse of Madness for the Raimi-ness but all three were disappointing (some more than others).
