Best Bryan Singer film?

It's hard to choose. He hasn't done that many films, but the ones he has done are top notch.

Does anyone think Singer should go back to directing movies based in reality, like "Usual Suspects" and what have you, as opposed to directing more "pop spectacle"?

- X2.
- Apt Pupil.
- Superman Returns.
- X-Men.

All great, solid movies, without a doubt.
But I do agree with Dr. Fate. He should start doing more movies based on reality, because Superman Returns was good, but very lackluster.

Yeah, Suspects was a great movie (My fave) And I'd like to see Singer do another movie like that.

I only saw X-Men, X2 and SR. It's a tie b/w X2 and SR for me, but if I have to choose, I'll go with X2. It was just amazing. Truly one of the best superhero movies, IMO.

The Usual Suspects, definitely.

However his best effort as a director, IMO, is SR. To borrow Dr.Fate's phrasing, I enjoy his "pop spectacle" a bit more than his reality based direction.

Usual Suspects is the best movie, but from a directing standpoint his best movie is Superman Returns.

As fun as both X-Men and Superman Returns were, I honestly think Usual Suspects and Apt Pupil were better movies. I'm glad I'm not the only.

I hope he takes a break from the comics and does some regular movies again.

He really needs to make a smaller movie that is not comic book related though. Just like how Nolan wanted to do the Prestiage before batman begins 2.
